Wānanga 2 “WHO ACTUALLY DECIDES?”

Politics isn’t one building in Wellington.

It’s a whole system of decisions.

02/10/2026

WHY?

Do our rangatahi understand how government works?

Were we properly taught civics?

Do young people see themselves reflected in political spaces?

Do they know what decisions actually affect them?

Do they believe participating will change anything?

Those are conversations worth having.

Over the next month, we’re going to have them.

No judgement.

No telling you who to vote for.

Just information, kōrero and the space to make your own decision.

Kua tōrangapū kē.

Birthday shout out to our back bone trustee Māmā Pups (Te Aroha Papanui)

Te Hiwa wouldn’t have been able to get off the ground without T.A’s long enduring support over these years.

No far fetched dream is ever off the table nor is any idea considered crazy - just get it done.

Thank you for your continued dedication and commitment over these years.

I’m sure we have some really cool stuff in the pipelines to come ☺️👀
