Will's award was presented by Rosie Hampton. A previous Otago Rover Crew member and celebrated at mini moot with the Otago Rover Crew, Dean's Rover Crew, Banks Rover Crew and Timaru Rover crew held over the long weekend in Waimate at the South Island Mini Moot.
We are all very proud of Will and this achievement.

Once again, another great turn out from our Keas, Cubs, Scouts, Venturers and Leaders to commemorate ANZAC Day in Mosgiel.

Thanks to all of you giving your time to do this and show the respect our fallen soldiers deserve.

Welcome back to Scouts for 2026!
Keas, Cubs, Scouts and Venturers all start back this week.

Keas (5 to 8 yrs) 6:00pm to 7:00pm Thursdays
Cubs (8 to 10.5 yrs) 6:30pm to 8:00pm Tuesday
Scouts (10.5 to 14 yrs) 7:00pm to 9:00pm Wednesday
Venturers (14 to 18 yrs) - 7:30pm to 9pm Thursday.
Interested in getting your kids off devices and outside come and try out Scouting!
We off a free introductory period of 4 Weeks to see if you like it.

We had 17 Venturers and two leaders from the Mosgiel Scout Group attend Venture'26 in Wellington from the 30 December 25 - 9 January 26.

They all had an amazing time, trying new things, making new friends and giving heaps of activities a go.

We would like to Thank EVERYONE who supported them to have this AdVenture.

Well done to Alexander Hasaka-Purton, Dominic Breese, Logan Oke and Luke Payne on the awarding of their Rimu Chief Scout Awards.

These boys worked together in 2024 to plan an epic biking camp at Cromwell for our Scout Section. They organised everything from the bike trip, to down time activities, menus and did all our health and safety.

They then chose to have it awarded on a tubing night at Venturers, after floating down the Outram Glen.

We give these boys a big BRAVO for all their hard work and achievements!

The Mosgiel Scouts, Venturers, Leaders and some parent helpers assisted with the Mosgiel Community Foodbank we had over 40 adults and youth helping out on Monday night. A nice wee recognition of some of them in the Star news paper this week.
