🎯 Introducing Challenge Host #9: Petanque Taieri!

Get ready to test your precision, teamwork, and a little bit of daring with our next challenge host… the amazing Petanque Taieri Club! 🥳

Will you carefully plan your throws, or go big with a high-risk move?

Every decision counts when you’re trying to score big with your team. It’s all about strategy, focus, and maybe a touch of luck!

You might even pick up a few French words along the way—like piste (the playing field), cochonnet (the little target), and boules (the bowls you throw). Don’t worry, you don’t need to be fluent—just bring your brains, your team spirit, your best aim, and sign up now: https://forms.gle/rs4rWDakXV4JpqNu8

💡 Pro tip: Think carefully about how to leverage your teammates—everyone needs to get a piece of the action to reach the goal!
Are you ready to take your shot? 🏆

Big thanks Petanque Taieri for joining us on this fun Youth Hui ride!

Introducing our CHALLENGE HOSTS #8: Taieri Cricket Club! 🏏

We’re over the boundary with excitement to welcome Taieri Senior Cricket Club (and Junior!) to the Taieri Rangatahi Youth Hui 2026!
Fun fact: two of the senior leadership team at Taieri College once swung their bats for Taieri Cricket Club—so you know the competition is in good hands!

They’re bringing a challenge that’s sure to hit it out of the park, but we’ll keep the details under wraps for now… 😉 Just know it’ll be a bowled-over experience, full of laughs, teamwork, and maybe even a little friendly rivalry.

It’s fantastic to have our neighbouring sports heroes joining us at Brooklands Park—these cricket champs are ready to pitch in and make the day unforgettable!

Sign up here… this one’s bound to be a six!

Introducing our Amazing Race CHALLENGE HOSTS #7 🧠🏃‍♂️

Word is out — the Taieri Youth Advisory Panel is in the making, and they’ll be joining us at the Hui! 🙌

Their challenge? We’ll just say it’ll take some imagination, brain power, and a strong heart — you’ve got this!

Sign up here for the FREE Amazing Race, Music and Foooood👉 https://forms.gle/rs4rWDakXV4JpqNu8

Now, let’s talk about the Panel itself: for years, our rangatahi have said, “We want more to do on the Taieri!” This is their chance to lead the way and have a real voice 💛

Led by two amazing coordinators with experience across the United Nations, World Vision, and youth councils, this group will bring 8–12 young people (Years 9–13) together to share ideas, design youth-focused initiatives, and work alongside the community to make things happen.

Applications are open now — don’t miss your chance to shape the future of youth on the Taieri! Simply email [email protected] with your creative application.

Introducing our CHALLENGE HOSTS #6 💥🎯

No one brings the energy quite like Youth East Taieri — their passion for rangatahi is next level 🔥

If you were at their Community Carnival… you already know 👀
If you missed it (or you’re hanging out for round two), you’re in luck…

They’re back with what they do best:
Plate smashing 💥 + dunk tank chaos 💦

Test your aim, smash some plates, and take your best shot at dunking some very unsuspecting humans 😏
(But the real question is… who’s under the dunk bucket?? You’ll have to sign up to find out 👀)

And here’s where it gets even cooler 💛

Those plates? They’re not just for smashing.
Youth East Taieri collect chipped, unsellable plates — giving them one last moment of glory before they’re transformed into something new.

Thanks to an awesome local connection, the leftover fragments will go on to be part of a huge community mosaic project in Waldronville, led by Vianney Santagati 🎨

Even better?
Our local youth will get the chance to be part of it — helping piece the plates back together or creating something new on the wall.

Dunking. Smashing. Creating.
A full-circle moment, powered by community 💛

Sign up for the Youth Hui and be part of it 👉 https://forms.gle/rs4rWDakXV4JpqNu8
