It was especially wonderful to spend time distributing the meals alongside Dorothy and Jenny, whose kindness and ongoing efforts to support the people of Rakaia are truly inspiring. She is someone who genuinely cares about her community and works so hard to help those who may need a little extra support. ❤️ Forgot to take some memorable pictures with Dorothy, will do it next time!

A big heartfelt thank you to Dorothy and Jenny for supporting us, helping us connect with the community, and making it possible for these meals to reach the people who needed them.

Freshly cooked Indian meals have been lovingly prepared and left at the Rakaia Sharing Shed for anyone who would like to pick them up.

22 meals were served and 10 meals are left in the sharing shed.

Meals prepared with gratitude and love for St. Johns Methven. A small gesture of appreciation for the incredible St John volunteers, especially the night-shift team, who give their time, energy and service to support our community.

We are so grateful to Rachel from Rakaia News for noticing our weekly food donations in Rakaia and for taking the initiative to share our story with the wider community.Thank you, Rachel, for giving this initiative a voice and for helping us spread the message of seva (selfless service).
