A reminder to everyone that a special remembrance service celebrating Lorna’s life will be held in the Paraparaumu Memorial Hall commencing at 10am tomorrow (Saturday). Lorna has been a long time member of several dancing ‘families’, and will always be very fondly remembered - not least for her incredible style and elegance. She always cut a very glamourous figure gliding around the dance floor, and had such an easy going and friendly personality to match. It was clear to all of us that Lorna had such a love of dancing, whether it was rock & roll, line dancing, or sequence dancing. The dance floor - surrounded by her friends was definitely her happy place to be. As such, there is comfort in knowing that she left us doing what she loved - looking beautiful, enjoying the company of her dancing friends, enjoying lovely music, and dancing up a storm. At our dance following her passing, members of Happy Feet stood for a minute’s silence in her memory, and then started the dance programme with the Tango 44 - which was always one of Lorna’s favourites. Many stories have been shared since of the happy memories we all have of times spent in her company - and as long as dancing continues in the region, those stories and reflections will continue on. Lorna’s memory will dance on in all of us. May she rest in peace. 💃🕺
