Workplace training in action! 💬🤝

This week we welcomed a group from The George Cafe and Tatum Park, who were with us for part of their workplace communication training programme.

Participants got to put their new feedback skills into practice in a real setting. Our Hospitality Level 2 students and tutor Dorreen hosted them for morning tea, and the group gave the students constructive feedback drawing on their own industry experience.

That's what our workplace training is all about: practical, relevant to the job, and skills people can take straight back to their mahi.

Ministry of Education Attendance Hui at Te Puna Whai Mātauranga
Ka whanake ake to hunga kia whai oranga ai – Transforming lives together.

Te Puna Whai Mātauranga proudly hosted a multi-school hui bringing local Attendance Coordinators and school staff together. It was a powerful day of whakawhanaungatanga (connection) and mahi ngātahi (collaboration) as we shared best practices to keep our tamariki connected to school. Huge thanks to everyone who brought their voice to the table!

Learning meets real life! Our Hospitality Level 2 students are putting their skills into action and gaining valuable hands-on experience, all while having a great time. 👏🍴

Real-world experience is one of the best ways to build confidence and capability. Our Security students had the opportunity to put their training into action by providing security services during the Prime Minister's visit to Kāpiti. A fantastic experience that showcased their professionalism and skills in a live environment. Pictured are co-tutors Andy Blackburn and Gordon Rongonui with Prime Minister Christopher Luxon and a few of our Security Students! Great Job 👍
