CAN YOU HELP?

We are in urgent need of the following items:

Pyjamas for boys and girls aged 4 years and under
Pyjamas for children aged 12 to 16 years
Underwear for all ages from 4 years and up
Toothpaste

We are currently in the throes of making up backpacks to be distributed over the winter period so any donations are greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support.

Oh no, the offer finishes today and there are nothing in our local Warehouse! We are putting together over 300 backpacks next month so a few are need.

By supporting our event you will also be supporting Foster Hope Northland.

Foster Hope are a national charity, however the fabulous Debbie started the Northland branch around 15 years ago.

Debbie says "Our main focus is providing backpacks of personal items for a child transitioning into care, so often they arrive with only the clothes they are wearing so our backpacks help to support the child and caregiver in those first few hours and days.

Our backpacks contain pyjamas, toiletries, book, cuddly toy, underwear, activity packs, socks, towels, sanitary items and where appropriate and many other age appropriate items.

We distribute them out in our community through agencies, caregivers and many grandparents who find themselves in a position of having to care for their grandchildren.

I am feeling very honoured to have been chosen as one of your charities for the upcoming colour run this year at Paihia, and I look forward to meeting you all."

I'm sure you'll agree with us, this is a very deserving charity and with your support we can make a small difference.

It was a real privilege for Louise Huett to attend the Top of the North Island Rural Women NZ this week, a wonderful opportunity to meet some lovely members, admire the beautiful craftwork from the Far North, and receive a generous donation for our cause.

We are deeply grateful to the community groups who continue to support our work with children in care across our communities.
