We will also have them available for collection at the next RSA social night on the 28th of August.

If you haven't paid your subs yet there is still time - you may even find that we have your card available . . . .

Also, Waitara RSA are hosting a commemoration service in recognition of (Victory over Japan - August 5) and Vietnam Veterans Day (Battle of Long Tan - August 18).

Awesome initiative from Waitara RSA.

The Waitara RSA will be holding a combined Service to recognize the Victory over Japan (VJ day) and Vietnam Veterans day (Long Tan) on Sunday 16 August.

Details
DATE - Sunday 16 August
TIME -10.30am for an 11am Service
LOCATION- Waitara RSA, Queen St Waitara

More than 3000 New Zealand military and civilian personnel served in Vietnam between 1963 and 1975. Thirty-seven men died while on active service and 187 were wounded. Two civilians serving with the surgical and Red Cross teams also lost their lives.

It would be great to see our members and families come and pay tribute and share our respect to our local and national members who served.

Come join us for the Service followed by a couple of refreshments and catch ups afterwards.
