✨ Today we would like to thank our friends from HIPPY Timaru for collaborating with us. We had a magical time celebrating International Fairy Day together!

The children enjoyed decorating their own magic wands and taking part in a fairy scavenger hunt. It was wonderful to see everyone using their imaginations and having fun together. 🧚‍♀️✨

The rain and cold weather kept us all indoors at Playgroup this week, but that didn't stop the fun! ☔❄️
The children enjoyed exploring a nature-themed tough tray filled with pinecones, feathers, leaves, shells, and wool. We also had nature colouring activities alongside our usual favourites including Duplo, playdough, and books.
It was lovely to see everyone enjoying time together, making friends, playing, exploring, and keeping warm on a chilly day. 😊🍂

World Nature Photography Day celebrates the beauty of the outdoors, highlights the importance of conservation, and encourages people to get outside and capture nature through photography.

To celebrate, children can:

At Playgroup this week, we celebrated Arbor Day by making leaf crowns, and hearing about what makes trees so awesome.

There was lots of fun exploring, playing, and making friends as our tamariki discovered more about the natural world around them.

A big thank you to Tristan Boot for generously providing native trees for the children to take home and plant. We appreciate your support in helping our tamariki learn more about the environment and continue their Arbor Day learning at home.

🌳 Arbor Day at Playgroup 🌳

Arbor Day inspires people to plant, nurture and celebrate trees.

Join us as we celebrate Arbor Day at playgroup! We will be learning about trees, creating leaf crowns, and exploring the important role trees play in our environment.
Our usual toys and resources will also be available, so there will be plenty of opportunities for discovering, learning and playing.

June 8 🕘 9:00am – 12:00pm

Please note that we've decided to run a little earlier than usual, so families can head home in time for lunch, nap time, and a relaxed afternoon.

🐝 Happy World Bee Day! 🐝

This week we celebrated our amazing little pollinators with a range of fun bee-themed activities! The children loved exploring our bee sensory tough tray, trying on bee suits, and taking a peek inside a hive filled with beautiful bee photos kindly lent to us by Annelies Bray Thank you so much for sharing them with us 💛
We also got creative making bee and honeycomb crafts.🌼🍯
A wonderful morning full of learning, creativity, and busy little bees! 🐝
