Pleasant Valley Playgroup Come and join us for a play and a cuppa. Every Monday during term time (except public holidays). Show up anytime from 9:30am - 12:30pm.

For children under 6 & parents/caregivers. First term free then $5 a visit or $20 a term. Arts & crafts, heaps of toys. We would love to see you and your little ones. 🐝 Happy World Bee Day! 🐝

This week we celebrated our amazing little pollinators with a range of fun bee-themed activities! The children loved exploring our bee sensory tough tray, trying on bee suits, and taking a peek inside a hive filled with beautiful bee photos kindly lent to us by Annelies Bray Thank you so much for sharing them with us 💛
We also got creative making bee and honeycomb crafts.🌼🍯
A wonderful morning full of learning, creativity, and busy little bees! 🐝

Posting on behalf of our wonderful food bank at St Andrew’s Geraldine. Cheap As Meal Ideas is back for winter! This Saturday 2-3.30pm, can donation for the food bank is appreciated. We had such a fun morning at Music and Dancing with Amanda from Tip Toe Dance Studio 💃🎶

The tamariki loved dancing, moving, and especially jumping underneath the giant parachute together while building confidence, coordination and social skills through play.

A special shout out to our artistic 4-year-old Benji, who set up a very popular craft activity with cutting, gluing ribbons and creating with all sorts of bits and pieces ✂️🎨 He was wonderful at helping show the younger children what to do, and the kids absolutely loved it.

So lovely seeing everyone joining in, getting creative and having fun together 💚

This Monday come along for a fun-filled morning of music and dancing with the talented Amanda from Tip Toe Dance Studio! Singing, moving, and playing together helps build confidence, coordination, and social skills in a joyful way.

We took part in Archaeology Week at Playgroup! 🏺
We learned that archaeology is the study of the past human life through the things people left behind. Our resident archaeologist, Nikole, set up a hands-on excavation site where the children searched for gold coins, uncovered hidden artefacts, carefully cleaned them, and even pieced them back together. Such a fun and engaging way to learn through play!

We also celebrated Owen's 5th birthday and graduation from playgroup! Owen has been coming regularly since he was a baby, and we have watched him grow into a caring, considerate, energetic, and fun young boy! Owen has been like a big brother to lots of the kids at playgroup and we are all going to miss him when he starts school. We shared extra special baking - chocolate birthday cake this week to celebrate this big milestone with him and his family. Good luck for your first day!

Next week we're back with archaeology week! We're very lucky to have such an amazing range of skills and professions among our playgroup community, with our treasurer Nikole taking the lead on this week's activities and sharing her knowledge as an archaeologist with us all! Rainy weather meant we stayed cosy indoors at Playgroup this week ☔️
The tamariki enjoyed exploring our indoor resources and spending time reading books together. We also enjoyed yummy ANZAC biscuits and had fun stamping beautiful red poppies ❤️
A lovely, warm day together. Thanks so much to everyone who joined us 🌿

Reminder: We will be closed this Monday for ANZAC day observed.
