What a fantastic Rotary evening celebrating community, local business, and future innovation.

From welcoming guests and neighbouring clubs to hearing the inspiring story of Geraldine Butchery and reflecting on the importance of small-town connections, the night was filled with great conversation, local pride, and community spirit.

A true highlight was hearing from the Geraldine High School Young Enterprise team behind Drink It! — an exciting new healthy passionfruit energy drink developed alongside Barkers. Their passion, creativity, and entrepreneurial drive impressed everyone in the room as they shared their journey toward creating a wholesale-ready product.

We were also proud to recognise Paul Fitzsimons and Jason Green from Geraldine Cheese Company, along with Caylee Jeon on behalf of Four Peaks Dental, as recipients of special Acknowledgement Awards for their support of Rotary and our local community.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, contributed, hosted, and supported the evening. Nights like these remind us of the strength, generosity, and innovation that make our community so special.

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our esteemed fellow Rotarian, Allan Coker.

Allan served the Temuka Geraldine Rotary Club with unwavering commitment, warmth, and integrity over many years. Alongside Margaret, his steadfast support and genuine belief in the ideals and purpose of Rotary greatly enriched our work and strengthened our community.

His dedication to Service Above Self was an inspiration to us all. Allan’s legacy of fellowship, kindness, and meaningful contribution will be long remembered and deeply appreciated. Even at 89, his life stood as a powerful testament to the enduring impact of service and compassion.

On behalf of all members of the Temuka Geraldine Rotary Club, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Allan’s family. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time as we honour a life of dedication, friendship, and service.
