We loved working with Central Otago Wilding Conifers Control Group!

Otago’s Student Volunteer Army = the dream team!

The weekend of March 21-22nd we were delighted to have 16 students from SVA join us in the quest to control wilding conifers at Jolendale Park and Halfmile in Alexandra.

Arrive at OUSA at 8:25 for gear check (sturdy shoes are needed - preferably tramping boots!). Please make sure you’re on time because our transport is the public bus.

All volunteering equipment and food is provided 💗💗

Hey team!! Our first volunteer camp with is coming up very quickly and signups are now available 🤗

Our ticket prices are $40 for a tent or $80 for a cabin! Food, accommodation and transport is all included! We will spend the mornings volunteering 💐💐

Make sure to pack weather appropriate clothing, sturdy boots, water and medication as needed. More information will be sent, including a packing list to those who sign up!!

If you’re keen to drive, we will reimburse you $50 to cover petrol and we will cover your ticket cost (for the $40 tent price) 😊
