An awesome group focused on having fun and exciting events. We meet from 7:00 to 9:00 on Friday nights during the school term.

Registration is continuing for our YET Camp 2023!!
If you have been involved in any of the YET programs this year, that includes R@NDOM, DYNAMYTE, FUEL, GROUND ZERO, SUMMIT and CHALLENGE, we are inviting you to come join us for the annual Youth East Taieri Camp - changing it up this year to be at Camp Columba, down near Gore! It’s a great time to get to know people and build connections you’ve never had before!
Dates: Friday 1st Dec - Sunday 3rd Dec 2023
Drop off: Friday 1st at 6:30pm at the Hub
Pick up: Sunday 3rd at 4pm at the Hub
Cost: $130 per camper (This covers the cost of food, transport, accommodation, and activities which will all be provided).

We are off to Brighton Beach Friday night... Permission forms required. https://forms.gle/qcAWZG1pdsg9J7zu7 Note our later finishing time of 9.30pm.

Please bring appropriate clothing for swimming if interested, for getting warm afterwards and/or for activities on the beach. Youth will be able to enter the water, but can not swim beyond our leaders furthest out in the water. If leaders judge conditions too cold to swim safely, then swimming will not proceed.

We will also have a short chat at the beginning of our time at Brighton Beach from Scott Weatherall, who is an ambassador for "I am Hope".

Thanks to those who have been coming with a gold coin donation each week, this really helps us to continue to provide our programmes.

We are at OUR Hub this Friday night. All welcome for some games... Weather dependent we might have an outside wide game, but regardless you are in for a fun night. 7-9pm.

We can also help make balloon animals for the Light Party that will be happening Tues 31 Oct at Mosgiel Presy Church, next to Taieri College on Church St. Flyer below for that, which is a free public event you and your friends and/or younger siblings might be interested in.

Welcome back to Term 4. Your leaders did some planning over the holidays, and we are excited about what is coming up this term.

Friday 13 Oct .. THIS Friday .. is a very exciting and different evening. We will start at 6 pm at the Seddon Park Velodrome with young people from Equippers Mosgiel, and others. One of us will be standing at the entrance gate for the first hour .. say Hi as you come in!
There is a free sausage sizzle, a freestyle mountain bike stunt show and guest speaker Levi Goodall (who is from Camp Columba, where we will have our YET camp later in the year). This would be a great event to bring a friend to. The evening finishes at 8.30 pm; pickup from the Velodrome.

Friday 20 Oct - NO Dynamyte or R@ndom.. Labour Weekend.

Points Based Car Rally
NOTE: this activity is different to previously notified.
Friday night 15 September is our LAST R@ndom and Dynamyte for Term 3. Youth will use teamwork to figure out how to get the most points; documenting their travels to get back to the Hub in time for supper. Strategy will be key!

Thank you for the gold coin donations that we have been receiving to help us with running costs. They are much appreciated.

Note: There is NO youth group Friday 22 September; although there is an option to attend the Elim Worship night with our leaders. Once you have registered and we have an idea of numbers we will be in touch again to confirm. We will respect the musicians and the event by participating fully. Quiz night THIS Friday and Boost Camp upcoming
Slightly early start again this Friday 8 September 6.45pm so we can travel into Caversham Baptist Church in the vans for their fundraiser for Tear Fund. We will be donating our 'gold coin donations' for the night .. and a bit extra. It is an excellent cause! Permission forms are required https://forms.gle/i7y5g3BavpCYDFHp9

Friday 17 September we will have a Pancake Art night at the hub, 7-9pm. OR Youth are welcome to come with some leaders out to Tirohanga Camp for the first evening of the Boost Camp. Permission forms for the Boost Evening are here: https://forms.gle/3s8xJuJRyYrYsSq89 . Note 9.30 pickup for those youth only (not pancake art and no permission needed for pancake art).

It is not too late to sign up to attend the entire Boost Camp 15-17 September, run by staff from Camp Columba in Pukerau, with at least one of our leaders attending. This is for young people ages 13-21.This is an opportunity for teenagers to come and make new friends and be in a unique Christian environment.

Friday 8 September Caversham Baptist Church are holding a combined Dunedin Youth Groups event raising money for World Vision (we will donate our gold coin donations for the night and any extra sent in). We need to leave the Hub at 6.45pm. Permission forms are required

Bench Race, Escape Artist, and upcoming camp opportunities

There are two camps coming up that are run by other groups, but that we are endorsing.
The first is a Junior Youth Camp (Yr 7-10) run by the Leith Valley Presy Youth Group at Tirohanga campsite. There will be lots of fun activities
such as a waterslide, wide games, and spotlight! Alongside this they will have some
sessions engaging with some of life’s big questions about God. Food will be provided
throughout the weekend beginning with dinner on the Friday night and finishing with
lunch on Sunday.
When: 5:30pm Friday 8th - 2pm Sunday 10th September
Cost: $70 per person

NO R@ndom or Dynamyte Friday night 11 August
Those who are attending ski camp should have received an email on Monday with final details about drop off; please read that email.
If you are not attending Ski Camp, there is no programme for you Friday night.
