Lake Dunstan parkrun

First and foremost, a huge thank you to our wonderful volunteers for making yesterday’s Lake Dunstan parkrun possible!

It was a true bluebird day on the shores of Lake Dunstan for our 45th parkrun, with clear skies and perfect conditions for the 64 runners who were able to make it. It was wonderful to see a team of two humans and one dog: Karma, Dayle and Indy all the way from Foster Parkrun.
We loved welcoming two brand new first timers joining us at Lake Dunstan for their very first parkrun. We hope you enjoyed our beautiful course and that we see you back again soon!

This volunteer takes photographs/videos for inclusion in parkrun communication and social media channels.

Report Writer
The volunteer writes a report for the weekends’ event that is available to view via the page. If you’re into statistics, write about them or if you want to shout out to athletes with PBs do that too. The world is really your oyster when it comes to writing about the event.

Well done to Lesley Garrett on her 25 parkrun milestone. Lesley is a very speedy runner in the Vet Women's age group. Keep an eye out for her and she flies past you.

Milestone: Parkrun is turning 22 years old
Dress Code: Tutus are strongly encouraged to celebrate the "two-two" (22) theme.
Where: Lake Dunstan Parkrun of course!!

Good Morning All,

A couple of key updates for everyone to be aware of!

1. We have now moved back to 8am start, with the change of time. This will stay the same until the clocks change again in April 2027.

2. Our event on Saturday 17 October has been cancelled. This is due to the Cromwell Half Marathon, 10km and Teams Relay using the park. If you want to know more about this event and sign up, see here: https://www.cromwell.org.nz/event-details/cromwell-half-marathon-10km-and-teams-relay-1-2026
