We are dedicated to supporting our community & fundraise though our monthly book sale. Come along! If you like the sound of Lions, ask us about joining!

If you have good condition books, CDs, DVDs or records to donate, please bring them to the book sale. Lions International Purposes

◦To Organize, charter and supervise service clubs to be known as Lions clubs.

◦To Coordinate the activities and standardize the administration of Lions clubs.

◦To Create and foster a spirit of understanding among the peoples of the world.

◦To Promote the principles

of good government and good citizenship.

◦To Take an active interest in the civic, cultural, social and moral welfare of the community.

◦To Unite the clubs in the bonds of friendship, good fellowship and mutual understanding.

◦To Provide a forum for the open discussion of all matters of public interest; provided, however, that partisan politics and sectarian religion shall not be debated by club members.

◦To Encourage service-minded people to serve their community without personal financial reward, and to encourage efficiency and promote high ethical standards in commerce, industry, professions, public works and private endeavors.

New Lynn Lions Club's Monthly Book Sale is on this Saturday 15th August at New Lynn Friendship Club Hall, 3063 Great North Road, New Lynn (down the driveway by the traffic lights) from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm. $2 for books, DVDs, CDs, videos, LPs and jigsaw puzzles. Magazines are 5 for $2.

We always welcome volunteers to help us set up on Friday from 4.30 pm and pack up from 3.00 pm on Saturday.

New Lynn Lions Monthly Book Sale is on this Saturday (20th) at New Lynn Friendship Club, 3063 Great North Road, New Lynn from 8.00am to 4.00pm. $2 for books, CDs, DVDs, LPs, videos and jigsaw puzzles. Magazines are 5 for $2.

If you want to get a bit of exercise and the gym is not for you and you live nearby you should consider coming to a weekly Bolyworx class held at the New Lynn Community Centre at 9.00am on Saturday morning. It is fun and everyone is lovely, supportive and non-judgemental. It is not a dance class, it is an exercise class with Bolywood music. Apparently there was a Senorita film so there is some Spanish songs too. It is $6 each time or $40 for a specified 10 week period. The people who run it are volunteers and just want to help get people moving.
