⛳ Drive 4 Life – Golfing for a Great Cause

Our Drive 4 Life Charity Golf Tournament is coming up on Thursday 8 October, and we’re looking forward to another fantastic day of golf, fun and fundraising at Waitemata Golf Club.

This year, funds raised will help provide comfortable reclining chairs for cancer patients undergoing long hours of chemotherapy and infusion treatment at North Shore Hospital’s Cancer Infusion Centre, as well as supporting North Shore Rotary’s charitable work in our community and beyond.

An event like this simply wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of the businesses, organisations and individuals who get behind us.

🌿 100+ volunteers. 50+ bags of rubbish. One fantastic community effort!

On Saturday, Rotarians, members of the public and students from Rangitoto College and Westlake Boys High School joined forces to clean up the Albany and Hooton Reserve area as part of Keep New Zealand Beautiful Week.

Together, we collected more than 50 bags of rubbish, helping keep litter out of our waterways. And there were certainly some interesting finds along the way; shopping trolleys, a bike, rowing machine, baby car seats, umbrellas and even a pair of bolt cutters!

A huge thank you to everyone who rolled up their sleeves and got involved, and to Mitre 10 Albany for providing their mobile BBQ to feed our hardworking volunteers afterwards.

Afghan girls remain excluded from secondary education. Against this challenging backdrop, the work of organisations supporting women and girls is more important than ever.
