As we expand our community-based screening, a critical finding is emerging: multimorbidity is more prevalent, and a significant proportion of these cases remain hidden, undiagnosed, unaddressed, and left with management within the community. This underscores the urgent need for systemic, community level screening to bring these hidden cases to light and connect the individuals with appropriate care.
This initiative continues to be led by Dr. Uday N. Yadav from The Australian National University, supported by 𝐁𝐏𝐊𝐈𝐇𝐒 (clinical lead) led by Dr. Narendra Bhatta, along with Mazbul Alam, Krishna Yadav, Ranzeeta Rajbanshi from Center for Research Policy and Implementaion with generous support from our funding agencies- Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases (GACD) and the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC).
We extend our sincere thanks to the 𝐅𝐂𝐇𝐕𝐬 and 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐟𝐟 across the participating clusters for their continued support and coordination.
These findings reaffirm the importance of the 𝐂𝐈𝐌𝐌-𝐂𝐇𝐖 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 not only in generating rigorous 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, but in surfacing a hidden public health burden within our communities. As we continue expanding to further clusters, we remain committed to strengthening early detection and improving 𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐛𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐲 care at the community level.
