Roles and Responsibilities of the Senior Team Mate (STM) at Chitwan Smart Scout Crew (CSSC) :
STM (Senior Team Mate) is not just a position within a crew to fulfil the criteria set by Nepal Scouts or to complete the formal structure of a unit. It is a responsibility that requires leadership, commitment, and accountability.
As an STM, you are entrusted with the responsibility of guiding the entire crew, supporting and motivating Rovers and Rangers, and assisting the leaders and masters in managing crew activities effectively. Your role is not merely to hold a title, but to lead by example, maintain discipline, encourage teamwork and contribute to the growth and development of every crew member.
Along with these responsibilities, the position also comes with certain rights and authorities. You are expected to exercise them wisely, fairly and responsibly not to misuse your authority or consider yourself superior to others, but to make the crew stronger and more effective.
Remember, leadership is not about having authority over others; it is about taking responsibility for others. Understand your rights, fulfil your responsibilities, respect your fellow members, and prove through your actions that you truly deserve the position of Senior Team Mate.
