Read the monitoring report by Human Rights House Crimea, Крымский Процесс, Освітній дім прав людини - Чернігів / Human Rights House - Chernihiv, which examines cases of enforced disappearances in Crimea and occupied parts of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia. It documents how civilians are abducted, held incommunicado, tortured, denied legal protection, and concealed from their families. The report identifies key perpetrators and coordinators of this practice and highlights the devastating impact on relatives left without information, justice, or adequate support.

It calls for stronger investigations, accountability, international access to detention sites, and assistance for victims and their families.

This report is a part of the joint project aimed at supporting families of the victims and strengthening the response to enforced disappearances in temporarily occupied Crimea and southern Ukraine. In 2025, the project combined direct legal assistance with the development of practical guidance for families, helping them navigate complex procedures and pursue information about their missing relatives. It was implemented within HRHF’s House-to-House Project Fund, with financial support from Norway.
