This week, state representatives and civil society from all over the world have gathered to check the status on the #MineBanTreaty. We need to work together to #FinishTheJob! We at NPA are proud to be part of renewed effort to raise awareness about mine risk as new Global Advisory Group on Explosive Ordnance Risk Education is established. The way risk awareness training and outreach is done, needs to be interesting, interactive, practical & hands-on. And it needs to be an evidence-based approach designed for particular target groups. The advisory group is chaired by UNICEF and MAG (Mines Advisory Group), with Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining - GICHD as secretariat. #OsloRevCon International Campaign to Ban Landmines Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention

Our story

Protecting civilians from explosive weapons. For more than 25 years Norwegian People's Aid have implemented mine action programs in over 40 states and territories. At NPA, we combine operational and advocacy work in order to reduce and prevent harm to civilians from the impacts of explosive weapons and ammunition. Rather than acting solely as a cure, NPA seeks to take a proactive approach aimed also at prevention.
