EYN Project is a Non-Profit Community-Based Organization that has been working for the past 15 years in North-East Nigeria, dedicated to improving the lives of people in the community compassionately through Humanitarian and Developmental works. Our staff pool is made up of experts in the areas of Peacebuilding and Reintegration, HIV/AIDS, Nutrition, Protection, Education, Water Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) and, Food Security and Livelihood (FSL), through its Humanitarian and Developmental Projects in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe States of North-East Nigeria.

Strengthening Adolescent Girls’ Support Networks

As part of the Adolescent Engagement and Meaningful Participation activity, adolescent girls in Pulka participated in a session on “Enhance the Network Adolescents' Skills.” In partnership with Norwegian Church Aid Nigeria - NCA.

Through group discussions, the girls identified trusted individuals, community structures, health services and other stakeholders they can safely approach for information, support and referrals, particularly on sexual and reproductive health (SRH).

The session encouraged meaningful participation, strengthened awareness of available support systems and empowered adolescent girls to seek help when needed.

Safe Motherhood: Recognising Danger Signs During Pregnancy
In partnership with Norwegian Church Aid Nigeria - NCA, we facilitated a safe motherhood awareness session at a health facility, engaging women and adolescent mothers on the importance of recognising danger signs during pregnancy and seeking timely medical care.
The session promoted awareness of warning signs such as vaginal bleeding, severe headaches, blurred vision, severe abdominal pain, and reduced foetal movement. Participants were encouraged to seek immediate medical attention whenever they experience any concerning symptoms.
Through continued health education, we aim to empower mothers with the knowledge to make informed decisions, protect their health, and improve outcomes for themselves and their babies.

We facilitated a session guiding adolescents through an interactive discussion on conflict management and peaceful problem-solving. Participants were introduced to six conflict-resolution strategies: Aggression, Compromising, Giving In, Avoiding or Delaying, Appealing to an Authority, and Collaboration. Through group discussions, adolescents explored the positive and negative effects of conflict and how different responses can influence relationships and community harmony.
Using a practical conflict scenario involving two adolescents, Benedict and Ahmad, participants worked in groups to develop and perform role plays. The exercise helped them apply the different conflict resolution strategies in practical situations and identify peaceful and constructive ways to manage disagreements in partnership with Norwegian Church Aid Nigeria - NCA.

During a Personal and Menstrual Hygiene Management Session, participants learned practical ways to maintain personal hygiene, manage menstruation safely and confidently, and make informed choices that support their well-being.
By creating safe spaces for learning and conversation, we are helping children and young people build healthy habits, break the silence around menstruation, and grow with confidence and dignity.

We are pleased to be part of efforts to promote informed conversations around contraception and reproductive health in our communities.

At EYN Projects, we believe access to accurate health information and quality services empowers individuals and families to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing.

The Contraception Week 2026 engagement in Maiduguri provided an opportunity for health workers, young midwives, responders and partners to raise awareness, address misconceptions and encourage open conversations around reproductive health.

Strengthening Impact Through Learning and Collaboration

A joint project review and documentation of learning was conducted for the IHA Maple and NHF-UNOCHA projects, implemented in partnership with Save the Children, Nigeria, with funding support from the United Nations OCHA NigeriaUnited Nations OCHA and the Government of Canada.

The review brought together project stakeholders and implementing partners, including GHIV Africa, to reflect on achievements, challenges, lessons learned, and opportunities for strengthening programme implementation and impact.

Through collaboration, shared learning, and evidence-based reflection, we continue to improve how humanitarian interventions respond to the needs of affected communities.
