Voices of Hope at St. John's College , Maiduguri.
Under the orange glow of 16 Days of Activism, Hopeful Women Initiative (HWI) took sensitization and awareness creation to the School.
There was powerful dialogue on this year's 16 days of activism theme: *“Unite to End Digital Violence Against Women and Girls.”*
On our arrival the school gates opened to a convoy of smiling volunteers, colorful banners fluttering: * *.

The management,Teachers and students were happy to see the team and warm welcome were given to us.

As part of our Sensitization:
Types of digital violence were mentioned, platform for the violence were also mentioned with the main victims of digital violence. The implications on women and girls were stressed while letting them know what to do when such habits are observed, that is, where to channel their plight or that of their well wishers.

Action words were raised as:

If you see something, say something.

Say no to digital violence against women and girls.

Hopeful Women Initiative (HWI), sensitized and trained women/girls and males on GBV and popcorn production in three local government areas of Adamawa state, which includes Yola South (Sangere), Girei, and Numan, through the technical support of AUN and funded by UNFPA.

On the other hand, the training was sought to provide sustainable livelihood opportunities to the participants. Popcorn production is an income-generating activity that participants could easily learn and implement without much stress and in an emergency situation.
