The world has achieved much academic progress in recent years. The average per capita in most developing and developed country has grown substantially with unemployment rates harbouring within an average rate. Having said this, relative success in macro-economic performance does not automatically correspond to a wider social progress. There is still room for improvement. There is still great concern about the youth unemployment rates, education, the rural poor, the environment and the mortality rates. There are many indexes that are reporting the state of affairs at a macro level right down to the micro level and yet there is still the basic issues of good sanitation, access to clean water and having a basic education that seems to surface as issues from the past. All this raises many questions: Would the world benefit better from a stronger collaboration between the government, corporate and non-profit sector? Are there lessons to learn from elsewhere? Can we apply lessons from other countries to our own country? How far can partnership and financing go hand in hand? Thus, in a small and effective way, I First International is build on "doing something about it!"
We are taking steps to bring the community of government, corporates and nonprofits, foundations, charities, social organizations and NGO's together thus making a stronger an larger impact to humanity and the planet. We do this by focussing on the capacity and competency of the Board and Management. I First International motivation is driven by taking a look at the man in the mirror and making the change at the individual level thereby manifesting in an outcome that will translate to a higher efficiency and stronger effectiveness. Understanding the business and providing business solutions as well as helping to turnaround the community of non-profits and social service organizations from where they are to a higher level will in turn make a larger and stronger impact. Eventually the most important benefit would go beyond just the outcomes but the realization that every sector and organisation can make a difference to the bigger picture if we are managed and operating effectively with the end in mind.
