🌍⚜️ Back from Skørping, Denmark, where the World Federation of Independent Scouts Rover Scout Moot was held from 31st July to 7th August! Rover Scouts from Europe, Africa, America, Asia, and Canada came together in fellowship, service, and teamwork.

Mr. Matthew Abela fully embraced the spirit of discovery and friendship — taking part in Viking boat building, blacksmithing, leather work, rope making, hiking, and more, all while forging lasting bonds across cultures and continents.

And off he goes to Skørping, Denmark, where the World Rover Scout Moot is taking place, one of the most significant international Scouting events for Rover Scouts and Rangers from every corner of the globe. It is an extraordinary experience that brings together different cultures, languages and traditions under one shared ideal: living the Scout spirit through fellowship, service and teamwork.
The World Rover Scout Moot is far more than an international gathering: it is a journey of personal growth, discovery and friendship, where every participant plays a part in leaving a lasting mark and returns home with an experience that will continue to inspire them long into the future.

On the 3rd July our vice president, Jasmine Borg gave a talk to Baden Powell Scouts Malta, to discuss and address the topic of Mental Health as one of their topics on the Erasmus+ BEACON Project (youth exchange project). They had youths/scouts from Bosnia and Palermo together with Maltese scouts.

The talk focused on mental health wellbeing, how to maintain mental wellbeing, and build mental resiliency, understanding mental disorders and how to tackle them and reach out for help.

The key takeaway message was that there are many aspects of wellbeing that are within our control.

Prioritising good sleep, maintaining a balanced diet, and engaging in regular physical activity all play an important role in supporting mental health.

Equally important is being part of a community or team with shared goals and values, fostering meaningful connections, and developing a sense of purpose and belonging.

Together, these factors can significantly contribute to mental wellbeing, resilience, and overall quality of life.
