TRADE ALERT — Japan Suspends Indian Mango Imports (2026 Season)
Japan has suspended fresh mango imports from India for the current season following an inspection in March 2026 that identified shortcomings in fumigation and V***r Heat Treatment (VHT) procedures at Indian treatment facilities.
This is NOT a quality issue — India's Alphonso mangoes remain among the world's finest. This is a compliance process failure.
