This month has truly been an eventful one. We visited many institutions and brought even more awareness to breast cancer as it does not pardon age nor gender. Tomorrow will be our Sip & Lyme and we invite you all out to come and celebrate our prostate and breast cancer survivors. It will be held at The Hotel Commingle starting at 6pm.

We visited the Women’s Centre of Jamaica yesterday October 23, 2026 and participated in their Pink-Nic 💖 for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It was a beautiful day sharing with the ladies there. Thank you for the lovely gifts that were presented to Sonia Lee Francis and Dorothy Satchwell.

We were at the Savanna la Mar Methodist Church Hall yesterday October 22, 2026 accompanied by our Breast Cancer Ambassador Shanique Sommerville who is the current Miss Westmoreland Festival Queen. Sonya Terral who is a JN Insurance Representative gave a presentation on Critical Insurance. Suzette Crigg the Western Region Manager for Consumers Affairs also did a wonderful presentation. Additionally, Dr Jean Powell also assisted with Breast Cancer Awareness education. Thank you to everyone that made this event such a success.

We are inviting women age 40 and above to come out on Tuesday, October 20th from 10am-3pm at the Whitehouse Church of Jesus Holiness Ministry to get their Breast Examination and other pertinent health checks done. We will also be at the Savanna la Mar Methodist Church Hall on October 22nd on Great George’s Street from 10am-4pm with special guest appearance from the reigning Miss Westmoreland Festival Queen, Shanique Sommerville. Come out and get your checks done. Sponsors for this event are the Caribbean Medical Mission, Westmoreland Health Department and the Savanna la Mar Rotary Club.

Our amazing Breast Cancer Survivors, Sandra Brown Thomas, Dorothy Satchwell and Nichole Smart went to the Greater Portmore Baptist Church, Marlyne Daley-Scott Healing Centre Community Health Fair and Blood Collection Mission on October 10, 2026 and volunteered their time and services in carrying out some educational presentations on Breast Cancer Awareness.
