The Junior Foster Foundation For Children sole purpose is to support children in the community of Cottage District in Carmel Westmoreland and neighboring communities with the necessities for school. This Fundraiser was created in January 2020 and hosted its first event as a Treat for the Kids on March 1st 2020. I managed to accumulate approximately 1000 US Dollars from friends , co-workers, acquaintances and funds from my personal savings, too. Also, I had the support of my workplace Royalton Negril in Jamaica who provided me with books. The community of Cottage District who was 100% behind me and supported the movement with all they had to give. On the day of the Treat, I could not believe the turn out! Parents, children and strangers came. Music from a sound system was provided for entertainment, there was a dj, we had a trampoline, a bounce-a-bout, face paint and a talent show. There was a kitchen for food, ice cream, cake, snacks and drinks. Books, Pens, Pencils, geometry sets, rubbers, sharpeners and prizes for the winners of the talent show. JFFFC Intends on hosting a minimum of 2 events per year. September for back to school and the anniversary date of March 1st. JFFFC ultimate goal is to extend its charity to the neighboring communities and to the country at large.
