They don't always share a last name with the children they raise. They don't have to.
At SOS Children's Villages Jamaica, motherhood looks like showing up — every morning, every hard conversation, every quiet moment of reassurance. Our Village Mothers and caregivers do this not because they have to, but because they choose to.

Mothers are the backbone of most Jamaican homes, and ours is no different.
Today we celebrate the women who carry our children through life — and we're reminded that this kind of love deserves recognition every single day, not just one Sunday a year.
Happy Mother's Day. 💙

For as long as we can remember, Easter in Jamaica = bun and cheese.

This weekend, we brought that tradition to families in our community and the persons committed to providing care to them. We visited Bustamante Children's Hospital bringing a little bit of Easter to the dedicated nurses of the Orthopaedics Ward and the kids they're serving. Afterwards, we walked around Kingston handing out our bags of love to some of the families we found. Care doesn't take a holiday, and neither do we. 💙

New year, same heart 🩵

While Hurricane Melissa changed our plans, it couldn't change what matters most—family, celebration, and joy.

This Christmas, our children gathered for a pink-themed dinner that proved resilience looks beautiful. Dance routines, laughter, and family, hosted by the incredible Debbie Bissoon

Barrett Town may still be rebuilding, but our children's spirits remain unshaken. This is what home looks like: not perfect, but full of love.

Thank you to everyone who made this celebration possible during our recovery. You reminded our children that they deserve joy, no matter what storms come.

Here's to 2026. Stronger together 💪

Happy Holidays from our home to yours! 🎄

This has been a year of challenges for Jamaica. Hurricane Melissa impacted communities across the island, including our Barrett Town facility in Montego Bay. But through it all, our children remained safe, and our commitment never wavered.

For 55 years, SOS Children's Villages Jamaica has provided family-like care to vulnerable children in calm and in crisis. Today, 91 children are celebrating the holidays with the love and stability they deserve as we continue recovery efforts alongside our community.
Whether you've supported us through donations, volunteering, or simply sharing our mission, you've helped create homes where children can thrive.

As Jamaica rebuilds, we're reminded that resilience is built on connection. Thank you for being part of our family.

Wishing you warmth, strength, and joy this holiday season.

✅ Charge all devices fully

Today we honor Jamaica's National Heroes and the everyday heroes working quietly among us—our residential caregivers. They provide love, stability, and hope to children who need it most. This Heroes Day, we celebrate both the leaders who built our nation and the caregivers building our future.

Happy Father's Day!

Today we're celebrating every man who shows up for a child—biological dads, stepfathers, SOS caregivers, and community mentors.

At SOS Children's Villages Jamaica, we've seen firsthand how powerful a positive male role model can be. Sometimes it's teaching a skill, sometimes it's just showing up consistently. Either way, it changes everything.

To all the father figures out there: thank you for believing in our children when they need it most.
