There are still 36 hours left — until midnight on March 15 — to nominate Signs of Peace for the third edition of the National “Signs of Peace” Award.

The award ceremony will take place in Rome, at Palazzo Valentini, at 4:30 PM.

We are in great need of people who, through their daily actions, are true SIGNS OF PEACE!

The third edition of the National "Segni di Pace" Award is underway at Palazzo Valentini, Rome, April 15, 2026 – National Made in Italy Day.

Applications are officially open for the 2026 "Segni di Pace" Award – the third edition of the National Award promoted by the Chair of Peace, as the lead association.

The award ceremony will take place on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Palazzo Valentini, Rome, as part of National Made in Italy Day (information and updates on the official website cattedradellapace.it).

After the first two editions, held in Assisi in spring 2024 and online in 2025—celebrated on the occasion of National Made in Italy Day with the support of the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy, the participation of over 50 institutions, universities, research centers, and associations, and over 500 awarded Signs of Peace—the third edition consolidates the Award as an Italian platform for cultural diplomacy with global reach. Previous editions were also included in the official Made in Italy Day calendar and covered by numerous local and national publications (e.g., CSV Lombardia Sud, Ancoraonline, Il Resto del Carlino, Sempionenews, Il Vibonese).

The Prize was created to highlight women and men, communities, institutions, social, cultural, and spiritual entities that, in ordinary or crisis-ridden contexts, build "positive peace," according to the definition of the Institute for Economics and Peace: not merely the absence of war, but the presence of structural, cultural, and social conditions that promote human development, cohesion, justice, and the protection of the dignity of every person.

A Diverse Promoting Committee
For the three-year period 2024–2026, the Prize is supported by a Promoting Committee that represents a true "parliament of civil society," composed of national and international organizations active in the fields of culture, education, research, volunteering, spirituality, human rights, and social innovation.
The Committee is led by the Chair of Peace—an academic project launched in 2022 in Assisi.
