What happens when stories from the farm reach the TEDx stage?

We are proud to share that our Co-Founder, Siddhesh Sakore, was invited as a speaker at TEDxMGMU 2026, held at MGM University, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.

The talk was an opportunity to bring the realities of small and marginal farmers into a larger conversation about climate resilience, soil regeneration, sustainable livelihoods, and the future of Indian agriculture.

Every insight shared on stage has been shaped by years of learning directly from farmers, understanding the challenges they face, and working together to build practical solutions through regenerative agroforestry.

We thank the TEDxMGMU team for creating a platform where grassroots experiences and farmer-led change can reach wider audiences.

Because some of the most important ideas for the future of our planet are already growing in our fields.

For years, Surekha Pawase and her family relied on traditional crops like onions. Today, after adopting an agroforestry model, they are beginning to see the results.

With just 1 acre under fruit plantation, the family has doubled its income, reduced labour requirements, and improved water efficiency through drip irrigation.

What stands out most is not just the income increase, but the shift towards a farming system that is easier to manage, more resilient, and better suited for the future.

Farmer by farmer, these stories remind us that sustainable agriculture is not just good for the land, it can also create stronger livelihoods.

When Popat Talwale first heard about agroforestry, he wasn't convinced.

Labour shortages were making traditional farming increasingly difficult, but he had never imagined that agroforestry could become a practical and sustainable solution for his farm.

With support from AGRO RANGERS, he established an agroforestry system with mango, lemon, and drumstick trees, supported by drip irrigation.

What surprised him most was the drumstick crop.

A crop he initially wasn't interested in planting generated nearly ₹60,000 from just 60-70 trees, creating an additional income stream while requiring less labour and water than conventional farming.

Today, drip irrigation has reduced water usage, input costs remain low, and the agroforestry system is steadily growing into a sustainable, long-term asset for the family.

Sometimes, the most valuable opportunities are the ones we never planned for.

Your role will include:
Farmer engagement and mobilization
Conducting field visits and trainings

What happens on land rarely stays there.

Water carries stories downstream - through rivers, streams, and eventually into the ocean. Soil runoff, chemicals, and waste all travel further than we imagine.

Even farms far from the coast are connected to ocean health.

On World Oceans Day, it’s worth remembering how closely linked ecosystems really are.

At AGRO RANGERS, we work with farmers to support land-use practices that protect soil, water, and the systems beyond what we immediately see.

Healthy oceans begin with healthier choices upstream.

A few years ago, Sudhir Palande saw an opportunity to think beyond traditional farming.

With support from AGRO RANGERS, he established a diversified Agroforestry model with mango, sapota, guava, lemon, custard apple, and drumstick trees across his farmland. Along with saplings and drip irrigation support, he received guidance on plantation planning, water management, and long-term agroforestry development.

Today, his farm is designed not just for a single harvest, but for multiple income streams spread across different crops and seasons. From early-yielding guava to long-term fruit trees, the model helps reduce risk while building future income.

Sudhirji estimates that his guava plantation alone could generate ₹1 lakh to ₹1.5 lakh annually after expenses.

His story is a reminder that resilient farms are built through planning, diversification, and consistent support.

On 1st June 2026, AGRO RANGERS had the opportunity to host a diverse delegation of representatives from CSR, philanthropic, and development sector organisations at the RSVC Centre in Dhamari as part of an exposure visit facilitated by NABARD's National Centre of Excellence on Rural Sustainable Value Chains (RSVCs).

The visiting group included representatives from organisations such as Cummins India, Tata Community Initiatives Trust, HCLTech, Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corporation Limited, ITC, Ishanya Foundation, Aikya Seva Center, La Fondation Dassault Systèmes, ATS Conveyors, and other ecosystem stakeholders.

During the visit, participants were introduced to AGRO RANGERS' work in agroforestry, farmer capacity building, sustainable agriculture, and rural livelihood development. The team shared insights into how the RSVC model is helping strengthen rural value chains while creating opportunities for small and marginal farmers.

The delegation explored the technologies and infrastructure established at the RSVC Centre, engaged in discussions around scaling rural development interventions, and exchanged ideas on building stronger, more resilient rural economies.

The visit concluded with a learning journey to Vigyan Ashram, offering participants further exposure to rural innovation, technology, and skill-building models.

Meaningful change happens when organisations come together to learn, collaborate, and collectively invest in rural communities.

Safer Workspaces, Stronger Foundations: Introducing Our First ICC & POSH Training!

As the AGRO RANGERS family continues to grow, our responsibility toward our people deepens. Ensuring a safe, respectful, and dignified workspace for every employee is our absolute priority.

We are proud to share a major compliance and cultural milestone: for the very first time, AGRO RANGERS has officially formed its Internal Complaints Committee (ICC)!

To anchor this structural step, we organized a comprehensive POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) Training session for our entire team, including members from Pune, Parbhani and Beed.

The session was wonderfully conducted by Ganga Tai Buke from the Aruna Education Foundation, who properly guided our team on workplace rights, safety standards, and collective responsibility.

Why this matters: With an expanding workforce across multiple districts, building a transparent accountability structure ensures that our internal culture remains as sustainable and healthy as the ecosystems we build on the field.

A huge thank you to Atma and Tarachand Ramnath Seva Trust and all the Tara Atmanirbhar Grant Cohort - 4 for helping us strengthen our foundation!
