Tanu’s Journey: From Learning to a New Beginning 🌱📚

Tanu lives with her parents, in Nagla Charan Dass, Dadri GB Nagar, UP where her family migrated three years ago. Her journey towards education began when she joined our Ugta Suraj Learning Centre, programme that supports children from underserved communities in accessing education and preparing for formal schooling.

For one year, Tanu attended the centre regularly, strengthening her reading, writing, and learning skills. With the encouragement from our teachers, she grew more confident, actively participated in learning activities, and developed a greater interest in her studies.

The Ugta Suraj team also guided her family on the importance of education and supported them through the school admission process. After successfully completing her time at the learning centre, Tanu got admission to formal schooling a big step forward she was enrolled in Class 7 at Govt Composite School.

Today, Tanu continues her education with confidence and determination. Her journey reflects what is possible when children receive the right guidance, consistent support, and an opportunity to learn.

Ugta Suraj is helping children take their first steps towards a brighter and more hopeful future through education. 🌟

The Joy of Learning: Discovering Bharatnatyam Through Mudras!

Among India’s classical dance traditions, Bharatnatyam has a unique ability to captivate audiences through its expressive movements, graceful gestures & powerful storytelling.

Ugta Suraj children had an opportunity to explore the basic Mudras of Bharatnatyam under the aegis of Art Hours: “Hasta: Mudras in Everyday Life” at the prestigious Kiran Nadar Museum of Art, New Delhi on 10 August 2026.

The children had a joyful experience of learning, observing, and attempting to enact the various mudras and discovering the art form through its gestures and expressions.

Building Connections & Nurturing Creativity at Tugalpur Centre

On July 30, 2026, we were delighted to host three interns from BIMTECH at our Tugalpur Centre for a meaningful four-hour engagement session.

The visit began with an interactive icebreaking session where the interns and children exchanged introductions, creating a welcoming and encouraging atmosphere. Following the discussions, the interns facilitated a creative drawing workshop, giving the children an opportunity to express themselves through art.

Direct engagement from student leaders plays a vital role in building confidence and fostering holistic development in young learners. We extend our sincere gratitude to the BIMTECH interns for dedicating their time, effort, and mentorship to our community.

Celebrations while at Work!!

3rd August 2026 was the day for collective conversations, program reviews and celebrating our birthdays. The entire SADRAG family got together for comprehensive reviews and reflections on our work in different social impact domains. Together we discussed the community programs, from expanding foundational learning and digital literacy across our Ugta Suraj centres to strengthening Sarthak: livelihood creation and promotion of Recycle and Re-use for migrant women.
Alongside, we cut the Birthday cake for two of our important team members - Puja and Mala mam, followed by all time Intakshri of Bollywood charm.
We all dispersed with a renewed commitment to collective work and zeal.

A warm welcome and a huge thank you to the students from IMI Delhi who joined us on 1 August as first day of their internship!

Students are divided into four enthusiastic groups across our Nagla centers, they hit the ground running by conducting creative activities with the children and guiding local women on the basics of marketing and entrepreneurship. At the Sarthak for Youth center, they introduced the youth to advanced computer skills and digital learning concepts, while over at the Sarthak for Children center, they brought so much joy through fun games and interactive learning.

To top off a wonderful first day, the interns showed incredible support for our artisans by purchasing 11 keychains and a file folder from the Sarthak for Women Center, bringing today's total sales to 71,250! We are so excited to have them on board and look forward to the journey ahead! ✨💙

Empowering young minds with practical digital skills, one lesson at a time.✨

Throughout the month of July 2026, our students explored the fundamentals of MS Word and Microsoft Excel, building confidence in document creation, formatting, formulas, reports, and spreadsheets.

Our Design Batch stepped into the creative world of Photo-pea and graphic design, learning everything from business card layouts and templates to photo editing, text manipulation, filter, and professional design presentation.

Every session encouraged creativity, problem-solving, and hands on practice, helping students develop industry relevant skills that prepare them for future opportunities. We are proud to witness their growing confidence as they transform curiosity into creativity and knowledge into real world digital expertise.
