Reading together truly enhances the joy of reading!

Exploring classic stories like Black Beauty and The Lost World is not just about reading for pleasure—it is also about nurturing empathy, values, and imagination. Children often absorb important life lessons naturally through these stories.

At Government Composite School, Village Nithari, Noida, we have introduced around 20 English storybooks to encourage shared reading. It is heartening to see children read together, support one another, and build understanding collectively.

We are grateful to RMSI Pvt. Ltd. for helping create an enabling learning environment at the school.

Kaif’s Story — In His Own Words

My name is Kaif. I am six years old and I live with my parents in Village Haldoni, Noida. My mother takes care of our home, and my father runs a small roadside biryani stall. I used to stay at home with my mother, who also helped my father in preparing the biryani.
One day in June 2025, I saw the Ugta Suraj team visiting our village and speaking with people. When I learned that a centre for children was running at the village Barat Ghar, I was very excited and immediately told my father about it. He brought me to the Ugta Suraj centre, where I was enrolled. I loved going to the centre every day—it became my favourite place to learn and play.

Seeing my happiness and interest in learning, my father was encouraged to enroll me in a formal school. With Ugta Suraj's support, I joined Nursery class at Hari Priya School, a nearby private school on 25 November 2025.
This was a big step for me and my family. Before this, my parents did not know how to enroll me in a formal school. Ugta Suraj showed us the way and helped me begin my journey of education.

Sarthak: Preparing Children for 21st Century Skills
“Sarthak” means enabling—and true to its name, this program empowers migrant children with essential digital literacy skills for the modern world. These children attend government or low-cost private schools where access to computers is limited. To bridge this gap, they come daily to the Sarthak Centre to learn digital concepts and practical, day-to-day applications of technology. Through an experiential approach using the SLATE curriculum, they gain hands-on exposure to computers and learn to use digital tools in their everyday lives.
On 28 March 2026, the SADRAG Annual Day was celebrated in Village Nagla Charndas, Noida. On this occasion,Sarthak children were awarded certificates by our Guest of Honour, Prof. Roumi Deb, Professor and Head, Department of Anthropology, Amity Institute of Social Sciences, Amity University Noida. These certificates mark an important step in their journey toward acquiring essential 21st-century digital skills and becoming confident, future-ready learners.
