We ensure quality early childhood care and development services for vulnerable children, up to 8 years of age, at urban work sites and poor settlements.

We provide education, nutrition and health for children in the birth to 12 years age group at construction sites and urban slums of Delhi and the National Capital Region in India. Till date, Mobile Creches has reached out to 7,50,000 children, trained 6,500 women as child care workers, run 650 daycare centers and partnered with 200 builders. Our partners include the construction industry, corporates, government and other civil society organisations.

On Seva Sankalp, Hon'ble Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta visited the Palna Creche at the Anganwadi Centre, MCD Primary Co-Ed School, Sarai Kale Khan.

She met the children. She spoke with the Anganwadi Didis. She saw a space built for care.

From Learning to Practice: Strengthening ECCE in Sukma

Under the project in Sukma, Chhattisgarh, the Department of Women and Child Development and Mobile Creches are working together to strengthen ECCE across 150 Anganwadi centres.

Building on earlier trainings on Theme 1 and Theme 2, a six-day residential training was held from 3–8 August 2026 on Theme 3 (पशु-पक्षी) and Theme 4 (हमारे सहायक) at DPRC, Sukma - led by trainers Meenu and Neelam Srivastava.

The training brought together 28 participants — 22 Anganwadi Workers, 5 ECCE Consultants, and 1 Project Manager. Having already implemented earlier activities in their centres, participants went beyond simply understanding new content - they reflected on its relevance, shared real classroom experiences, and suggested ways to adapt it for children's learning needs.

A reminder that training becomes truly impactful when learning meets practice - and practice returns to learning with deeper insight.

At , hosted by Mobile Creches during Asia Impact House 2026, we brought together voices from government, philanthropy and the ground to ask the real question:
How do we finance childcare like the economic backbone it actually is?
How do we build care circles that come together to make childcare and different models of childcare across corporates and government.

Because when childcare is funded, women work. When women work, economies grow.

A milestone for early childhood care in Delhi. 🎉

On 28th July 2026, the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, inaugurated the Samarth Anganwadi-cum-Palna Centre at the President's Estate — with Mobile Creches supporting as technical partner.

A small centre, a big step forward for ECD services in the city.

On 28th July 2026, the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, inaugurated the Samarth Anganwadi-cum-Palna Centre at the President's Estate.

Mobile Creches served as technical partner in setting up the centre — bringing decades of ECD expertise to a space built for children's care and development.

The Department of Women and Child Development, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, has now asked Mobile Creches to support the strengthening of all 611 Palna Centres across the city.

From one centre to 611. This is what public-private partnership in ECD can look like.

Childcare is not a private problem. It's a public infrastructure gap.

A recent case of abuse at a daycare has (rightly) shocked the country. But the harder question is: why does this keep happening?

Our Executive Director – Policy & Partnerships, Chirashree Ghosh, joined Zubeda Hamid on The Hindu's In Focus podcast to unpack why early childhood care in India remains largely unregulated - even with national standards on paper.

India does have a National Minimum Standards and Protocol for Creches. What's missing is enforcement — trained caregivers, regular inspection, accountability. A standard that isn't implemented protects no child.

At Mobile Creches, this is the work we've built toward for over 57 years — not just running creches, but the workforce, standards, and government partnerships that make childcare a functioning system.

Until childcare is treated as essential infrastructure, incidents like this will keep repeating — in different cities, with different names.

We rarely ask what it takes to actually deliver quality childcare. We just assume someone will manage it.

A creche isn't a convenience room where children wait until someone's free. It's where nutrition, safety, early learning, and emotional wellbeing all have to come together - every single day.
