A Divine Beginning of Service, Dedication, and Compassion on the Auspicious Occasion of Akshaya Tritiya
On the sacred and infinitely meritorious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, a divine initiative rooted in service, dedication, and compassion was ceremoniously commenced on April 20 in Lucknow, at Sultanpur Road. This noble endeavor—the construction of the proposed Gajendra Dutt Nethani Smarak Deenbandhu Netralaya—is being undertaken under the joint aegis of Kalyanam Karoti, Lucknow and the Gajendra Dutt Nethani Deenbandhu Netralaya Trust, inspired by the divine blessings of Param Pujya Shri Nritya Gopal Das Ji and Param Pujya Shri Kamal Nayan Das Shastri Ji Maharaj.
The auspicious beginning was marked with Vedic chants, deep devotion, and spiritual fervor, symbolizing the launch of a sacred mission aimed at bringing light to countless lives and hope to those living in darkness.
The ceremonial worship for the construction was performed by Dr. Virendra Singh (President, Kalyanam Karoti). The occasion witnessed the gracious presence of esteemed dignitaries and trustees including Shri Ashok Tiwari, Padma Shri Dr. K.K. Thakral, Dr. D.S. Shukla, Former IG Ashu Shukla, Shri Rajesh Agarwal, Smt. Savita Shukla, Shri D.N. Mishra (General Manager, Ayodhya), Shri U.B. Pathak, Shri Ajay Mishra, Shri Manish Kapoor, Shri Neelendra Mishra, Shri Rajesh Bangia, Shri Sanjay Yadav, Abhishek Pal, Shri Sanjay Mishra, Shri Narendra Pandey, along with numerous devotees, social workers, and local residents, all deeply moved by the spiritual atmosphere.
In a touching gesture, Dr. Virendra Singh also honored the women laborers involved in the construction work by presenting them with gifts—transforming the event into not just a construction beginning, but a true Yajna of collective faith and humanity.
It is noteworthy that the foundation stone of this monumental project was laid earlier on October 18, 2025, on the auspicious occasion of Lord Dhanvantari Jayanti, by the Hon’ble Defence Minister of India, Shri Rajnath Singh. The presence and blessings of revered saints and dignitaries on that day elevated this initiative into a large-scale movement of service.
This upcoming 200-bedded state-of-the-art eye hospital will not merely be a structure of bricks and mortar, but a living sanctuary of compassion, service, and human dignity—offering free and subsidized eye care services to the underprivileged and needy. Each surgery, each treatment here will symbolize a “new dawn” in someone’s life, restoring vision, confidence, and hope.
In conclusion, Rashtragaurav Sharma (General Secretary, Kalyanam Karoti, Lucknow) expressed heartfelt confidence that OPD services will begin within a year for the benefit of the local population, followed soon by the establishment of advanced operation theatres for eye surgeries. He described this initiative not merely as a project, but as “an eternal flame dedicated to the service of humanity”, and appealed to all sections of society to come forward and contribute to this noble cause—so that this light continues to spread, bringing vision to every eye and smiles to every life. 🙏
