At Project Surbhi, we conduct yoga and meditation sessions that help girls develop focus, emotional balance, and inner strength. In contexts where stress and uncertainty often remain unaddressed, these practices offer a structured space to pause, reflect, and build self-awareness. Through regular sessions, girls learn to manage their emotions, improve concentration, and maintain a sense of calm, enabling them to approach daily challenges with confidence and resilience.

Girls in rural regions of Uttar Pradesh still face limited access to digital learning and technology. With rural women’s digital literacy at just 49.6% compared to 68.5% among men, this gap continues to restrict their education, career opportunities, and confidence in navigating today’s digital world.

At Surbhi Center, we are actively bridging this gap by providing practical hands-on computer training in tools like MS Office, Canva, internet usage, and other digital productivity platforms. Through regular sessions, girls are not only learning how to use technology but are also building confidence, creativity, and the skills needed for education, employability, and independent decision-making. Our goal is simple to ensure every girl has the digital knowledge to shape her own future and lead change within her community.

Surbhi Center Shaping Confident Girls Who Know Their Rights and Inspire Change in Their Communities

The recent session on Rights and Duties at Surbhi Center was more than just a discussion, it was a powerful step toward helping girls recognize their voice and stand firmly for their rights. Advocate and Legal Rights Activist Pallavi Pandey, Center Coordinator Aakansha Singh, and team members Shailesh Singh and Dhiru Shukla worked closely with the girls to break myths and build legal confidence around education, safety, equality, freedom of expression, and protection from child marriage.

Through group discussions, girls explored important topics like “Why is girls’ education important?”, “What are the harms of child marriage?”, and “What should be done if a girl faces abuse?”. The session became a space where they not only learned about their rights but also found the courage to speak up for themselves, for their peers, and for creating change within their communities.

When girls prepare to speak about rights and duties, change begins quietly.

As part of the January community engagement theme on Constitutional Rights and Duties, Surbhi girls are preparing a Nukkad Natak using theatre to understand civic values and find their voices.

Even in preparation, the impact is visible. Girls are building confidence, learning to express themselves, and getting ready to engage their community with awareness and purpose.

2025 has been a year of becoming for Project Surbhi.

What began as learning slowly turned into confidence, curiosity, and courage. Girls showed up, stayed engaged, asked questions, tried new things, and grew not just in skills, but in how they saw themselves and the world around them.

The journey wasn’t loud, but it was powerful. Built on trust, consistency, and safe spaces, Project Surbhi continued to grow alongside the girls shaping perspectives, widening horizons, and planting belief that will last far beyond this year.

Some journeys don’t need many words. Their impact speaks for itself.

लिंग आधारित हिंसा के विरुद्ध 16 दिवसीय सक्रियता अभियान’ के समापन के अवसर पर, ग्राम डिगिया में निकाली गई हमारी जागरूकता रैली की कुछ झलकियाँ प्रस्तुत हैं।

10 दिसंबर को वैश्विक स्तर पर यह अभियान समाप्त हुआ,
और इसी क्रम में प्रोजेक्ट सुरभि की बच्चियों ने ग्राम डिगिया की गलियों में रैली निकालकर इस संदेश को और मज़बूती से आगे बढ़ाया:-
“हिंसा के ख़िलाफ़ आवाज़ उठाना हम सभी की ज़िम्मेदारी है।”

हाथों में पोस्टर और आवाज़ में एक स्पष्ट पुकार,
नारी सुरक्षा, सम्मान और समानता।

ये तस्वीरें सिर्फ़ एक रैली नहीं,बल्कि उन बच्चियों की सोच और हिम्मत का प्रमाण हैं,जो बदलाव को केवल समझती नहीं,
बल्कि उसे जीती भी हैं।

अभियान भले ही 10 दिसंबर को समाप्त हो गया हो,
पर हमारे लिए यह जागरूकता और संवाद हर दिन की प्रक्रिया है।
और यह सफ़र यहीं से आगे बढ़ता है।
