Strengthening partnerships for a healthier, drug-free Assam.

Our team from Recovery Wellness Society and Srimanta Foundation had the privilege of meeting the Hon’ble Health Minister of Assam, Sri Ashok Singhal, to discuss the implementation and expansion of the Four Corner Clubs (FCC) Network across the state.

We are deeply grateful to Hon’ble Minister Sir for his valuable time, encouragement, and the support extended towards this youth-led initiative. With the guidance of the Government of Assam and the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders, we are confident that the FCC Network will empower young people to become champions of prevention, awareness, and community well-being.

Together, we move one step closer to building healthier families, stronger communities, and a drug-free Assam.

Building Hope. Restoring Lives. Strengthening Communities.

Recovery Wellness Society is honoured to have co-organised the One-Day Stakeholder Consultation on Drugs, HIV, and Prison Health Responses at District Jail, Jully, in collaboration with the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), Rajiv Gandhi University, and the Srimanta Foundation for Culture & Society.

The consultation brought together prison authorities, health professionals, academia, civil society, and inmates to discuss practical solutions for substance use, HIV prevention, prison health, rehabilitation, and successful reintegration into society.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Sri. Bhaskar Mahanta sir, for his inspiring keynote address on “Building a New Life,” encouraging inmates to embrace hope, resilience, discipline, and responsible citizenship.

We are equally grateful to Sri. Dipankar Mahanta for conducting the highly engaging sessions on “Yoga, Breathing & Relaxation” and “Yoga, Spirituality & Stress Management.” His practical guidance highlighted the importance of mindfulness, emotional well-being, and holistic healing as essential components of recovery and personal transformation.

We also sincerely thank Shri Tojo Karga, IPS, Inspector General of Prisons, Rajiv Gandhi University, the District Jail administration, the Srimanta Foundation for Culture & Society, our partners, and all participants for making this consultation a meaningful success.

Together, we remain committed to promoting evidence-based interventions, improving prison health, and creating pathways for recovery, rehabilitation, and reintegration.

A Historic Milestone for Assam’s Youth! 🤝📖

Today marks a truly historic achievement as the Recovery Wellness Society (RWS) and the Srimanta Foundation formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Gauhati University to establish the FCC Network.

This partnership is much more than an MoU—it is the beginning of a movement to build a stronger, healthier, and more responsible generation of young people. Through the FCC Network, we aim to create a vibrant youth-led platform across colleges and universities, promoting leadership, mental well-being, substance use prevention, community service, and positive social change.

This landmark collaboration reflects our shared commitment to empowering students as catalysts for change and creating a sustainable model that can inspire institutions across the region and beyond.

We express our sincere gratitude to the leadership of Gauhati University, our partners at the Srimanta Foundation, and everyone whose vision, dedication, and support made this historic milestone possible.

Today we signed an MoU. Tomorrow, we build a movement.

We are glad to share the successful completion of our 3-Day Spiritual & Inner Healing Program held at the RWS Rehabilitation Centre, Hatisila from 24th to 26th April.

Over these three days, participants engaged in meaningful sessions on self-awareness, healing, inner strength, and new beginnings. With the guidance of esteemed resource persons and the active participation of all attendees, the program created a space for reflection, growth, and transformation.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all facilitators, partners, and participants who made this journey impactful and inspiring. Together, we continue to move forward in our mission of healing, hope, and recovery.
