👉 Aide et Action, through its 'Addressing Learning Gaps for Quality Education' initiative and in collaboration with DIET, Baksa organized a Block Academic Core Group (BACG) Workshop on Block Academic Planning in Baksa district on 27th August, 2026.

✨ The collaborative workshop brought together 45 participants, including Head Teachers and CRCCs. Among invited guests, Mr. Barlangfa Mushahary (Block Elementary Education Officer/Block Mission Coordinator), Dr. Nandita Kalita (Lecturer, DIET Baksa) and Mr. Dipak Talukdar (Senior Lecturer, DIET Baksa) were present.

🔍 Participants jointly discussed several factors contributing to dropout and identifying learning gaps. An emphasis on strengthening School Development Plans (SDPs), promoting community participation, and effectively using TLMs, digital resources was also a core part of discussion throughout the day.

🌱 Participants also engaged in group exercises to identify specific and measurable school and cluster-level indicators for further improvement of quality education.

🤝 The workshop provided a valuable platform for stakeholders to share experiences, learn from field practices, and develop practical strategies for strengthening schools and improving learning outcomes.

🤝 Building Stronger Systems for Child Protection in Assam 🤝

👉 Aide et Action, in collaboration with the Child Protection Society, Assam (SCPS) and supported by UNICEF India, organized a Regional-Level Consultation today on 20 August, 2026 at Grand Bhabendra Alay, Guwahati through its ‘Strengthening Alternative Care Reforms in Assam’ initiative.

👉 The session was graced by Smt. Nandita Hazarika (ACS, Deputy Secretary, Govt. of Assam, Department of Women & Child Development & Additional Member Secretary, SCPS Assam) as Chief Guest, along with Shri Laxmi Narayan Nanda (Child Protection Specialist, UNICEF) and Smt. Archana Shanti (Program Manager, SARA).

👉 Key stakeholders from DCPUs, Child Welfare Committees (CWCs), and Child Care Institutions (CCIs) across six districts - Kamrup Metro, Nagaon, Karbi Anglong, Morigaon, Hojai, and Darrang, who came together to strengthen collaborative efforts towards family-based care and child protection in Assam.

👉 The consultation focused on developing the District Action Plan for Non-Institutional and Family-Based Care with the aim of strengthening systems that ensure children grow up in safe, supportive, and family-based environments.

👉 Under the SBIF Leap: UDYAMEE initiative, supported by SBI Foundation and organized by Aide et Action, rural women entrepreneurs across Dibrugarh and Kamrup districts came together to celebrate Independence Day.

👉 Artisans from both the handloom and bamboo & cane craft sectors joined hands to honour independence through community unity and local enterprise.

👉 By upgrading traditional heritage skills into competitive, market-linked micro-enterprises, these women are actively driving financial independence and economic empowerment across their villages.

🌱 Here's to building a stronger nation powered by resilient women leaders and thriving rural craft enterprises!

👉 Hon’ble MLA of 38 No. Barkhetri LAC, Mr. Narayan Deka, visited the Innovative Community Learning Hub (ICLH) today, 14th August 2026, at Barbhag Kalag Higher Secondary School in Nalbari district.

👉 Aide et Action's representative team members under its 'Addressing Learning Gaps for Quality Education' initiative were present who shared an overview of the ICLH initiative, outlining its key objectives and purpose.

👉 Mr. Narayan Deka appreciated the effort and shared his valuable written feedback, encouraging the team to continue working towards better learning opportunities for children.
