Introduction:
Dhemaji District is an economically backward and under developed District of Assam. A group of youth having intention to bring a change of community is committed to form a voluntary organization and the Socio-Economic Development Organization was established on 9th February, 2002. At first the organization was registered under Societies Registration Act 1860 (XXI) on 10th July, 2002, but due to some technical problems, the organization has not renewed after 2015 and the organization has newly registered under Indian Trust Act 1882 on 31st July, 2018 without change the name and objectives. OUR MISSION
“Building the capacity of poor marginalize and oppressed section of society especially those affected by natural disasters and the disabled in rural areas of Assam with Dhemaji as its focus. It shall work on issues that promote economic development, environmental consciousness, child development, health and education and ensure the rights of people through processes that advance gender equity and self reliance.”
