In Gogamukh, you will see women building roads with determination while men work alongside them, helping wherever needed.There is no question of who should do what. Everyone simply comes together for the community. Not whether it was a man or a woman doing the work, but people choosing to build something better together.
A big thank you to Goonj for recognising this effort by appreciating every person with a set of clothes. It is a beautiful reminder that every small effort for the community deserves respect.When people work together, everyone moves forward. At Friendship School, we are trying to inculcate the same values in our children too!

Learning can happen without walls trying too hard to look like a school.

In a quiet village of Assam, there is a school where classrooms are made of bamboo huts
surrounded by open fields. Places like this exist, where people gently continue with their work, even when nobody is looking.

Children from the Mising community come here every day, some to study and some to stay. This space has slowly become a part of their lives.

Rice for lunch gets cooked on firewood with older students helping serve food. Their little
slippers are left outside the huts before classes begin. In the evening, the entire field turns into a
playground.

We like to travel to eco-resorts to experience bamboo huts, open kitchens, quiet fields, and ‘local living.' Here, those same hands build their own classrooms, weave fences, prepare meals and repair roofs after rain. Nothing here feels designed for display. Yet there is something deeply memorable about a school growing quietly held together by community and care 🌸🌸

Hi guys! It's proof to the people those who think quality education happen in town and city's only
Friendship School in a remote village Dhemaji..but in the first betch itself we could produce good result to the society....thanks to all the well wishers...
