The Tourism and Hospitality Skill Council (THSC) recently organised an industrial exposure visit for students of its affiliated training partner, Primero , to Barbeque Nation Dwarka—a valued industry partner.

Such industry visits are an integral part of THSC’s training approach, enabling students to experience real workplace environments, understand industry expectations, and build confidence as they prepare for careers in hospitality.

Aligned with the vision of the Hon’ble Justice Gita Mittal Committee, and in collaboration with the Government of Manipur, THSC continues to drive industry-integrated training through its Manipur Residential Program, creating pathways for sustainable livelihoods.

The Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board and Uttarakhand Skill Development Mission organisation a day workshop to enhance the tourism and hospitality related services under the Chardham Yatra.

The programme was inaugurated by Hon’ble Saurabh Bahuguna, Cabinet Minister – Skill Development & Employment, Government of Uttarakhand.

The event was also graced by Hon’ble Shri Dheeraj Singh Garbyal, Secretary – Tourism, Government of Uttarakhand, and Hon’ble Shri C. Ravishankar, Secretary – Skill Development, Government of Uttarakhand, along with esteemed industry experts and institutional representatives.

The discussion focused on enhancing preparedness and service excellence for the upcoming yatra through structured skilling initiatives.

The event was attended by leading industry associations, industry players and leading institution and it highlighted the importance of skilling in strengthening the tourism ecosystem and empowering frontline workforce and local communities during the Chardham Yatra.

Vivek Shandilya, Vice President – Training & State Engagement, represented Tourism and Hospitality Skill Council at the session and presented THSC’s readiness in terms or state specific curriculum, customised content for chardham, new assessment methodologies and commitment of THSC towards the state.

From financial hardship to a stable career—this is the inspiring journey of Jitendra Shravan Dudhamani.

Coming from a financially constrained background in Sangli, Maharashtra, Jitendra took a decisive step to support his family by enrolling in a Food & Beverage Service training program.

This initiative was supported through CSR, creating meaningful impact through THSC-certified training.

This initiative was carried out in collaboration with The Job Plus , THSC’s strategic partner, ensuring the program met industry standards and provided a clear pathway to employment.
The program was implemented by THSC’s affiliated training partner, Pratham Foundation

Today, Jitendra is successfully employed at Hotel Sahil as a Food & Beverage Service Associate, with added benefits such as food and accommodation.

His journey reflects how structured skilling initiatives can create sustainable livelihoods and empower families.

Celebrating another milestone in industry-led skilling! 🎓

The Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council (THSC), in partnership with Diageo India under the Learning for Life initiative, successfully concluded the Bengaluru cohort with a vibrant convocation ceremony.

The event was graced by esteemed Guests of Honour, Chef Dr. Avin Thaliath and Dr. Renju Mathai, who inspired the graduating youth with their insights on excellence, discipline, and continuous learning in the hospitality sector. We were also delighted to have the Diageo India team present, whose presence further motivated and encouraged the students on this important milestone.

Through this initiative, candidates have been trained in key hospitality roles such as Food & Beverage Service Associate and Counter Sales Executive, preparing them for dynamic careers in the industry.

We are proud to collaborate with leading hospitality brands including Fairfield by Marriott, Fortune Select JP Cosmos, Lemon Tree Premier, Zenith Hotel, Adityavani Facility Services Pvt. Ltd., Oyster Bay, United Food Brands, Compass Group, 37th Crescent Hotel, and Si Nonna’s.
