Transforming Hospitality Training for Tomorrow’s Workforce

On the occasion of World Youth Skills Day 2026, the Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council (THSC), in collaboration with Tata STRIVE, successfully organized a webinar for hospitality trainers on the theme “Transforming Hospitality Training for Tomorrow’s Workforce.”

The webinar brought together 180+ hospitality trainers from across the country, reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening the future of hospitality training.

The session commenced with opening remarks by Vivek Mishra (THSC), followed by insightful addresses from Mr. Sandeep Gore, Corporate Director, The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) – Taj Hotels, and Mr. Shiladitya Samaddar, Head – Operations, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Tata STRIVE.

The event was seamlessly coordinated by Ms. Shreeja Joji, Tata Strive, who efficiently managed the webinar proceedings, including participant coordination, meeting administration, and audience engagement throughout the session.

The speakers shared valuable perspectives on emerging hospitality trends, industry expectations, and technology-enabled training practices, equipping trainers with the knowledge and insights needed to prepare a skilled, future-ready workforce.

World Youth Skills Day 2026 | Apprenticeship Awareness Drive

On the occasion of World Youth Skills Day 2026, the Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council (THSC) organized Apprenticeship Awareness Drives at Radisson Blu Hotel, Dwarka and ITC Welcomhotel, Dwarka, reaffirming its commitment to promoting apprenticeship as a pathway to meaningful careers in the hospitality industry.

The interactive sessions engaged apprentices, industrial trainees, OJTs, and aspiring candidates, highlighting the benefits of apprenticeship, THSC assessments and certification, career progression opportunities, and the transition from apprenticeship to full-time employment.

The sessions were led by Mr. Amol Bajaj, Vice President – THSC, and at ITC Welcomhotel were graced by Ms. Harpreet Kaur, Director – Human Resources, ITC Hotels, who encouraged participants to continue building their skills and make the most of apprenticeship opportunities.

The discussions also featured inspiring success stories of candidates who secured on-roll employment after completing their apprenticeship, reinforcing the importance of industry-led skill development in creating a future-ready hospitality workforce.

Building Skills. Creating Opportunities. ✨

On the occasion of World Youth Skills Day, the Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council (THSC), in collaboration with The Job Plus (TJP), successfully organized a webinar on “Building Careers – Evolving Hospitality Industry.”

The session witnessed an overwhelming response, with 1,000+ students from 130+ institutes across India coming together to gain valuable insights into the dynamic hospitality sector.

The webinar commenced with the opening remarks by Mr. Vivek Shandilya, Sr. Vice President, THSC, followed by Ms. Swati Singh, AVP – Operations & Education, The Job Plus. Participants also benefited from an insightful industry session by Mr. Shatrunjay Yadav, General Manager, Country Inn & Suites Hotel, who shared his perspectives on emerging hospitality trends, evolving skill requirements, career opportunities, advanced workforce training, and the employability skills essential for success in the industry.

The engaging 90-minute session concluded with an interactive Q&A, enabling students to connect directly with industry experts and seek guidance on building successful careers in hospitality. The closing remarks were delivered by Mr. Prakash Das, State Engagement Officer, THSC.
