Under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme, an Advanced Training of Trainers Programme in Advanced Washerman Trade was conducted at NAC, Hyderabad, strengthening the capabilities of trainers through specialised learning and skill enhancement.

The programme focused on building trainer expertise through advanced technical knowledge, modern training practices and practical exposure, enabling them to deliver high-quality, industry-aligned training for Vishwakarmas.

By empowering trainers with upgraded skills and contemporary methodologies, the initiative is creating a stronger foundation for advanced skilling, improved livelihoods and entrepreneurial opportunities for traditional artisans.

From strengthening trainer capabilities to advancing traditional skills, PM Vishwakarma is fostering a future-ready skilling ecosystem for Vishwakarmas across the country.

A New Milestone for PM Vishwakarma – Dhobi Trade!

September – A Month of Celebrating Skill, Service & Empowerment

The Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council (THSC) is proud to share the successful completion of Advanced Training for the PM Vishwakarma Dhobi Trade (Laundry Associate) at NAC Hyderabad.

60 Candidates Certified!

Through this initiative, 60 candidates from *Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Maharashtra* have been certified across the following roles:

🔹 Master Trainer (MT)
🔹 Master Assessor (MA)
🔹 Trainer (ToT)
🔹 Assessor (ToA)

This milestone strengthens advanced training and assessment capabilities under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme, empowering skilled professionals to contribute to quality skilling and certification in the Dhobi Trade.

With 1,400+ competitors from around 70 countries and regions coming together, and 11 new skill categories expanding the WorldSkills stage, the challenge is bigger and the opportunity is greater.

But this journey is about more than numbers.
It is about every hour of practice, every challenge overcome and every person who believed in their skill and stood behind their journey.

Strengthening Industry–Academia Collaboration | A New Milestone for Hospitality

We are pleased to announce a new milestone in strengthening industry–academia collaboration in the tourism and hospitality sector.

In September 2026, Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council (THSC) and IIHM Delhi signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the delivery of the Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Operations (ADHO) qualification.

The partnership follows IIHM Delhi’s approval by NCVET as a Training Centre for THSC’s ADHO qualification, enabling the institution to deliver a structured programme that brings together academic learning, practical exposure and industry-relevant competencies.

The MoU was formally signed by Mr. Rajan Bahadur, CEO, THSC, and Mr. Abdullah Ahmed, COO, IIHM Group & Director, IIHM Delhi, reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening learning opportunities, enhancing employability and developing a future-ready hospitality workforce.

Through this collaboration, THSC and IIHM Delhi look forward to creating stronger pathways from education to employment and contributing to a skilled, capable and industry-ready workforce for the tourism and hospitality sector.

THSC at Skill Manthan 2026 | Inspiring Young Minds, Shaping Future Careers!

On 5th September 2026, THSC participated in Skill Manthan 2026, organised for NCC Cadets, bringing career awareness and the exciting world of Tourism & Hospitality closer to young minds.
Representing THSC, Mr. Sumit Arora(Apprenticeship Department)and Ms. Mamta Singh (Standards Team) engaged with cadets pursuing secondary, senior secondary and higher education through an interactive *career counselling and awareness session*.

The session explored:

Career opportunities across Tourism & Hospitality
Diverse job roles and career domains
Courses and educational pathways
Salary prospects and career growth
Apprenticeship opportunities

From discovering new career possibilities to understanding the many paths into the hospitality industry, the session was filled with curiosity, enthusiasm and plenty of questions!
