About CHWTVT - TI Project
Chennai District Women Tai Vizhudhugal Trust is a Non-Government Organisation which is located Redhills, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. CHWTVT is currently running TI Project which is a core composite project under TANSACS & NACO. In this Project, CHWTVT covers five block areas in Thiruvallur District namely Sholavaram, Villivakkam, Minjur, Ellapuram & Gummidipoondi. The core group

s of CHWTVT-TI Thiruvallur are Female S*x Workers (FSW), Men who have S*x with Men (MSM) and Transgender (TG)

About TI Project
CHWTVT is currently working on Target Intervention project. The intervention programme is designed to bring about behavior change among specific population groups whose risk/vulnerabilities of contacting STI/HIV infections are high. These groups are categorized as core groups, Female S*x Workers (FSW), Men who have S*x with Men (MSM), Injecting Drug Users (IDU) and Transgender (TG) – and Bridge population which includes Truckers and Migrants. This programme is implemented through the Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) / Community based Organizations (CBOs). During the financial year 2017-18, 72 TI NGOs were functioning under the control of TANSACS.
