In 2008, a group of citizens working with civil society organizations in the rural hinterland of Bhuj city, reflected on their own participation and contribution as citizens of Bhuj, gave birth to the ‘Homes in the City’ programme.

કચરામાંથી કંચન બનાવવા માટે વિદ્યાર્થીઓની પહેલ!

અર્બન એન્વાયરમેન્ટ એજ્યુકેશન (UEE) ટીમ દ્વારા મુસ્લિમ એજ્યુકેશન સ્કૂલના વિદ્યાર્થીઓ માટે “વેસ્ટ-ટુ-બેસ્ટ” વર્કશોપનું આયોજન કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું.

UEE ટીમના સભ્યોએ વિદ્યાર્થીઓને વર્કશોપ દરમિયાન માર્ગદર્શન આપ્યું અને બાળકોની કળાને વિસ્તૃત બનાવી, જ્યારે ધર્મેશ અંતાણીએ તેમને નવા સોલિડ વેસ્ટ મેનેજમેન્ટ (SWM) નિયમો વિશે માહિતી આપી અને શહેરને સ્વચ્છ રાખવામાં નાગરિક તરીકે આપણી જવાબદારી વિશે સમજાવ્યું.

વિદ્યાર્થીઓએ ખૂબ જ રસ અને ઉત્સાહ સાથે ભાગ લીધો અને કચરામાંથી સર્જનાત્મક વિચારો અને ઉપયોગી વસ્તુઓ બનાવી.

HICમાં અમારું માનવું છે કે આબોહવા પ્રત્યે જાગૃત પેઢીનું નિર્માણ આવતીકાલના આબોહવા સંબંધિત પડકારોનો સામનો કરવા માટે ખૂબ જ મહત્વપૂર્ણ છે. યુવાનો આપણા શહેરનું ભવિષ્ય છે. નાની ઉંમરથી જ બાળકોને આબોહવા અને પર્યાવરણ અંગેનું શિક્ષણ આપવાથી જાગૃત, જવાબદાર અને પર્યાવરણ પ્રત્યે સંવેદનશીલ નાગરિકોની પેઢી તૈયાર કરી શકાય છે.

વોર્ડ નંબર 8 માં આવેલ.જ્યનગર ના વિસ્તાર અને કાલે જૂની રાવળવાડીના રહેવાસીઓએ ભુજના ICDS અધિકારીને અરજી આપી, જેમાં તેમણે પોતાના વિસ્તારમાં સરકારી માલિકીની આંગણવાડીના નિર્માણ માટે જમીન ઉપલબ્ધ કરાવવા તેમજ અન્ય તમામ જરૂરી સહયોગ આપવા માટેની પોતાની તૈયારી વ્યક્ત કરી.

આંગણવાડીઓ નાના બાળકોના સર્વાંગી વિકાસ માટે અત્યંત મહત્વપૂર્ણ સંસ્થાઓ છે. સાથે સાથે, ગર્ભવતી મહિલાઓ, ધાત્રી માતાઓ અને કિશોરીઓના આરોગ્ય, પોષણ અને કલ્યાણમાં પણ તેમની મહત્વપૂર્ણ ભૂમિકા છે.

સમુદાયની સક્રિય ભાગીદારી દ્વારા HIC વોર્ડ નંબર ૩ અને ૮માં આવેલી આંગણવાડીઓની કાર્યક્ષમતા અને માળખાકીય સુવિધાઓને વધુ મજબૂત બનાવવા માટે કાર્યરત છે. પોતાના વિસ્તારમાં આંગણવાડીની સ્થાપના માટે જૂની રાવળવાડીના રહેવાસીઓએ એકજૂટ થઈને કરેલી આ પહેલ એક મહત્વપૂર્ણ સીમાચિહ્ન સમાન છે. આ પગલું તેમના સમુદાયના બાળકો અને મહિલાઓ માટે ગુણવત્તાસભર પ્રારંભિક બાળ સંભાળ અને પોષણ સેવાઓ સુનિશ્ચિત કરવાની દિશામાં પ્રથમ અને મહત્વપૂર્ણ પગલું છે.

ભુજને વધુ સ્વચ્છ બનાવીએ, સાથે મળીને!

ગઈકાલે Homes In The City દ્વારા ભુજ નગરપાલિકાના સહયોગથી વોર્ડ 3, 4, 7 અને 8ના 52 સફાઈ કર્મચારીઓ માટે સોલિડ વેસ્ટ મેનેજમેન્ટ નિયમો, 2026 અંગે ઓરિએન્ટેશન વર્કશોપનું આયોજન કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું.

HIC ફેલો અને ભુજના સ્વચ્છતા એમ્બેસેડર ધર્મેશ અંતાણીએ સત્રનું નેતૃત્વ કર્યું હતું. ગાયત્રીબેન સહિત અન્ય સહયોગીઓએ કાર્યક્રમના અમલીકરણમાં મહત્વપૂર્ણ ભૂમિકા ભજવી હતી.

કાર્યક્રમનું ઉદ્ઘાટન કરવા બદલ **શ્રી મનુભા જાડેજા (સેનીટેશન ચેરમેન) નો તેમજ ઉપસ્થિત અન્ય નગરસેવકો અને આ મહત્વપૂર્ણ પહેલને સહયોગ આપવા બદલ મુખ્ય સ્વચ્છતા નિરીક્ષકો અને સ્થાનિક પ્રતિનિધિઓનો અમે આભાર માનીએ છીએ.

સાથે મળીને, આપણે ભુજને વધુ સ્વચ્છ, સ્વસ્થ અને ટકાઉ શહેર બનાવી શકીએ છીએ.
