🥈🥈 From Double Bronze to Double Silver… What a Journey! 🇮🇳❤️

I'm Sarita Dwivedi—an artist, an electric shock survivor, a person with 100% locomotor disability, a proud Brand Ambassador of ALIMCO, and a proud Indian Boccia player.

At the World Boccia Challenger 2026 – Cairo, Egypt, I was blessed to win:

🥈 BC3 Female Individual

From becoming India's first World Boccia bronze medalist in 2024 to winning Double Silver in 2026, this journey has been possible because of the amazing people who believed in me.

A heartfelt thank you to my first coach and partner, Sachin Chamariya Bhaiya, for always guiding me and believing in my potential. Thank you, Coach David Henriques, for taking my game to another level with your world-class coaching and helping me discover new skills. I am truly grateful to both of you.

A special thanks to my incredible ramp operator, Mr. Surendra Singh Sikarwar Bhaiya , whose dedication and teamwork made these achievements possible.

My deepest gratitude to ALIMCO for supporting my sporting journey and providing world-class Boccia facilities. Thank you to our CMD shri Praveen Kumar,GM Finance shri Atul Rustagi, management, Sports Committee, Administration Department, and every colleague who stood beside me throughout this journey.

A heartfelt thank you to the Boccia Sports Federation of India (BSFI) for giving me the honour of representing India on the international stage and for continuously supporting Indian Boccia athletes under the amazing and responsible leadership of President BSFI sir, Secretary BSFI Shaminder Dhillon Sarpanch sir ,Chairman BSFI Ashok Bedi sir coach taffy sir and everyone from BSFI team who believed and had faith in my ability like a family . everyone who has supported me throughout this journey.

🥈 SILVER MEDAL IN BC3 PAIR! 🇮🇳❤️🇪🇬

One of the most special moments of my journey at the World Boccia Challenger 2026 – Cairo, Egypt. 🇪🇬

Winning the 🥈 Silver Medal in the BC3 Pair Category was not just a medal—it was a beautiful result of trust, communication, teamwork and understanding.

I am incredibly grateful to my amazing Pair Partner, Mr. Sachin Chamaria, and his dedicated Ramp Operator Mr. Diban Sasni. ❤️

A very special thank you to my Ramp Operator Mr. Surendra Singh Sikarwar (P. No. 2043). Your dedication, patience and perfect coordination throughout the competition made this achievement possible.

In Boccia, every throw is a team effort. This Silver Medal belongs to all four of us. 🥈❤️

🇮🇳🏆 A Fantastic Start for Team India at the Egypt World Boccia Challenger 2026! 🏆🇮🇳

Heartiest congratulations to our outstanding Boccia athletes for their brilliant performances on the opening day of the Egypt World Boccia Challenger 2026.

🌟 Match Results:
🔹 BC4 Male – Jatin Kushwah defeated his opponent in his first match with a score of 7–2.
🔹 BC3 Male – Ajeya Raj registered a dominant 10–0 victory over UAE in his opening match.
🔹 BC3 Female – Sarita Dwivedi secured a superb victory against Portugal in her opening match.
🔹 BC4 Male – Jatin Kushwah continued his excellent form by winning his second match against Croatia.
🔹 BC3 Male – Ajeya Raj maintained his unbeaten run with another impressive victory over Egypt in his second match.
🔹 BC3 Male – Sachin Chamria earned a well-deserved victory against Slovenia.

World Boccia Mourns the Passing of Founding President David Hadfield OBE

World Boccia is deeply saddened to announce the death of its founding President and immediate past President, David Hadfield OBE, who has passed away at the age of 73.

A visionary leader, respected administrator and passionate advocate for boccia, David transformed the sport from a relatively small discipline into the fastest growing Paralympic sport.

Beginning with £20 of his own money to open World Boccia's first bank account in 2012, he created an international federation that is now recognised around the world for its professionalism, innovation and unwavering commitment to athletes.

His passing is an immense loss to the global boccia family and to the wider Paralympic movement.
