esources together and formed Reaching Hand. Initially the aim of Reaching Hand was to help the needy and deserving children by providing scholarship and support them in their higher education. Now it has broadened its vision and started focusing on providing holistic development to children and women so that they can integrate themselves to the mainstream. Millennium Development Goals (MDG) of alleviating poverty and trying hard to fulfills its vision by changing lives of many. Sponsorship/Scholarship - The objective of the project is to provide adequate education to the most vulnerable children who are at risk to make them productive citizens and have a better future through good education right from a tender age. Home for the destitute children “New Home” – The objective of this project is to reduce the suffering of the abandoned, destitute and vulnerable children, build their capacity through giving them love, care, support, food and best education with life skills so that they become productive member of the society. Women empowerment through livelihood promotion – To empower marginalized women by providing skills based training such as tailoring & embroidery to become self-sufficient so that they can contribute to their family income that earns them a place of respect and pride in their families and in the community. Government School Adoption Programs - The objective of school adoption program (SAP) is to convert backward rural and urban Government schools into Model Schools so that they are on par with the best run city schools in terms of infrastructure and academic performance with extracurricular activities. Today, Reaching Hand is a most recognized charitable trust having legal status to carry out its mission abiding by Indian laws. It is registered with U/S 35AC, 80 G & 12 A of Income Tax Act of 1961, having the FCRA a/c to receive funds from foreign donors. The Indian donors are eligible to get 50% tax exemption under the IT Act, if they will donate to RHT. RHT’s operations are managed out of the office in Bangalore with programs in Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi & Hosur, Tamilnadu state.
