Our neighbouring group, Womens Shed Cush Croí, are hosting an Irish night tonight in our very own Cow Shed! 🇮🇪💚

🕣 8.30pm – 10.30pm (ish)
🎟️ €10 entry
☕ Tea, coffee & cake available
🎁 Raffle on the night in support of the Women’s Shed.

It promises to be a lovely evening of music, craic and community spirit! So why not come along, support our neighbours and enjoy a great Irish night! 💚☘️

Making Paper Roses at Women's Shed Cush Croí.

Each 'Rose' we created uses 7 old toilet paper rolls. It requires a little bit of patience to get started but it's a beautiful way to recycle the rolls. You could also use a thick paper or card if you wanted to experiment. We will be making these again soon 😊

We had a lovely morning in the cabin today making roses from old toilet paper rolls! It doesn't look like anything is happening and then it all comes together really nicely. Everyone was delighted with their finished roses and we're making plans to paint them and make more! Watch this space.

Thank you to on you tube for the great tutorial video we followed. It's definitely easier when you have others around to help.

We had a lovely morning today in the cabin painting rocks. There were so many options from mandala and pattern art to positive messages, animals, nature and fun little designs. It was really relaxing and a lovely way to have a chat and catch up with new friends.

The tea and cakes went down a treat too! Look out for more fun activities this Autumn & Winter at Womens Shed Cush Croí.

We are really excited to announce a FREE 6 week Creative Writing programme with local author Tina Callaghan.

This will be a very relaxed six-week series where people can come together, have a chat, share memories, and get started writing — It’s really about beginning with small memories — places, people, everyday moments — and seeing where they lead.

Classes start Wednesday 16th September from 7.30 - 9pm. To book your place please email [email protected].

We had a great turnout last night to listen to Simon Ryan of Newbawn Wild Bird Feed providing information on our local birds and various bird feeding options. We got loads of great tips and advice for the season to come.

Many thanks to Sarah for organising this wonderful evening... and for the lovely apple tart!

We are really looking forward to all the exciting things coming to the Women's Shed in the coming months so watch this space.

We are back for a new term at Women's Shed Cush Croí. For our first evening event we will host the wonderful Simon Ryan of Newbawn Wild Bird Feed. This promises to be a very fun and informative evening. Everyone is welcome along on the night so please bring a friend and enjoy!

Our first meeting with our horticulturist Louise got off to a flying start last week. We learned all about different soil types and composts and planted two containers for the deck on our lovely cabin. Thank you so much to WWETB Adult & Community Education for supplying these valuable tutor hours. We are learning so much and constantly adding to our community gardens.
