Ricky's sand dunes team have been hard at work erecting more chestnut fencing. So far the work has proven to be effective, helping to protect vulnerable areas from erosion and allowing the dunes to recover naturally. The beach clean team were dodging the raindrops today, but we got a good bit done, before enjoying our coffee and chat. Next Wednesday we will be turning our attention to meadow management, cutting back some of the dock leaves 🍃 along the Estuary Road to help maintain the area and encourage biodiversity. 11am at Tramore Nature Park car park if you want to lend a hand. Today we met with the children from Educate Together Tramore, who were taking part in a Marine Day Workshop with ecologist Katriina Bent. As we carried out our beach clean, we had the opportunity to talk with the children and show them how plastic breaks down into tiny pieces.
