Tá Tramore Action - Mission Statement

Tá Tramore Action is a volunteer-led community group dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in Tramore by advocating for the development of sustainable, accessible, and inclusive public spaces. Our mission is to empower local residents, foster community engagement, and improve the town’s recreational infrastructure, creating spaces that promote physical,

mental, and social well-being for all. Through collaborative efforts and community-driven projects, we aim to build a more connected and resilient Tramore, where every individual can thrive. Advocate for and Develop Sustainable Public Amenities
Our primary goal is to enhance the quality of life in Tramore by advocating for and developing accessible, sustainable, and community-centred public spaces. We aim to provide new recreational facilities, such as a tidal pool, outdoor sauna, and a 3x3 basketball court, that meet the needs of residents and visitors alike. These initiatives will promote physical activity, well-being, and inclusivity for all community members.

2. Build a Strong, Collaborative Volunteer Network
As a volunteer-led community group, we aim to foster a collaborative and supportive environment where passionate individuals can contribute to the betterment of Tramore. We will work to build and sustain a dedicated committee and volunteer base that is involved in project planning, implementation, and advocacy. Our goal is to create a space where everyone's voice is heard, and each volunteer’s skills are utilised for the collective benefit of the community.

3. Strengthen Community Engagement and Participation
We believe that community development should be a collective effort. Therefore, one of our key goals is to engage and empower local residents in the decision-making process. Through public consultations, local events, and transparent communication, we aim to involve the community in every stage of our projects, from planning to ex*****on. We want to create a sense of ownership and pride among the people of Tramore in the spaces and services being developed.

4. Promote Environmental Sustainability and Accessibility
Tá Tramore Action is committed to ensuring that all projects are designed with the environment and accessibility in mind. We will strive to create sustainable, eco-friendly public spaces that are accessible to all, regardless of age, ability, or background. Whether it's through eco-conscious design in our tidal pool project or ensuring that our basketball court and sauna are easily accessible, we will prioritise inclusivity and environmental responsibility in all our efforts.

5. Support Physical and Mental Well-being for All
Our goal is to provide spaces that contribute to the physical and mental well-being of our community members. By developing accessible recreational areas, such as the tidal pool, sauna, and basketball court, we aim to encourage outdoor activities that promote healthy living, reduce stress, and bring people together. These projects will also serve as community hubs where individuals can connect, build relationships, and enjoy the outdoors.

6. Advocate for Long-term Investment in Tramore’s Public Infrastructure
Beyond individual projects, we seek to advocate for long-term investment in Tramore's public infrastructure. Our efforts will focus on creating a model for sustainable community spaces that can be replicated across the region. We will work closely with local government, businesses, and other stakeholders to secure the resources and support needed to continue improving Tramore’s public amenities for future generations.

7. Foster a Sense of Community Identity and Pride
Through our projects and initiatives, we aim to create a greater sense of identity and pride in Tramore. We want to celebrate the unique characteristics of our town by designing public spaces that reflect the values and aspirations of our residents. Our goal is for Tramore to be a place where people feel connected, supported, and proud to call home.
