A serious injury road traffic collision took place yesterday at 1.30pm at Bang Up Cross, Tullow. Three vehicles were involved - one lorry and two cars. Two people were removed from the scene by Ambulance to St Lukes Hospital, Kilkenny where one is now believed to be in a critical condition. The scene has been preserved overnight for technical examination by Garda experts later this morning. Road diversions are in place. People are asked to avoid the area if at all possible. An Garda Siochána is seeking for any witnesses who might have been in the area at the time or anyone with CCTV, mobile or dash cam footage to contact their local Garda station.
Road is expected to be reopened during the course of early morning.

🚘🏍️ If you’re in a motor accident, you must:

1️⃣ Stay at the scene
Stop your vehicle and stay there for a reasonable time.

2️⃣ Give your details
If there’s a Garda present, you must give them your name, address and vehicle details. 👮‍♂️

If there’s no Garda present, you must give these details to one of the following:
🧑 The other person involved
🧑‍🦳 The owner of any damaged property
🧑 A witness who saw the accident

3️⃣ Report the accident.
If there’s no Garda at the scene, you must report the accident to a Garda as soon as possible.
