💚 Protect Your Baby from RSV This Winter 💚

RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) is a common winter virus that can cause serious illness in young babies.

The HSE RSV Immunisation Programme for 2026/2027 is now underway, with free RSV immunisation available to eligible babies.

👶 Babies born 1 September 2026 - 28 February 2027
RSV immunisation will be offered in maternity hospitals before going home, where possible.

👶 Babies born 1 March - 31 August 2026
RSV immunisation is available through participating GP practices.

👶 Some babies who are at higher risk of serious RSV illness may also be offered immunisation through a specialist pathway.

The immunisation helps protect babies against severe RSV illness throughout the autumn and winter months.

⚠️ IMPORTANT TRAVEL UPDATE - IRISH SEA FERRIES ⚠️

From 28 September 2026, passengers travelling between the Republic of Ireland and Britain with Irish Ferries or Stena Line should be aware of new passport requirements.

🛳️ Passengers are advised to carry a valid passport when travelling on affected Irish Sea routes.

If you are planning to travel after this date, please make sure your passport is valid and check the latest requirements directly with your ferry operator before travelling.

Fáilte Isteach are looking for friendly volunteers to support migrants and refugees through informal conversational English classes.

You don’t need to be a qualified teacher, teaching or TEFL/ESOL experience is helpful, but not essential. Training and resources will be provided.

It’s a great opportunity to:
• Support people in your community
• Help learners build confidence in spoken English
• Meet new people and make a real difference

⚠️ HSE Drug Alert: High-risk cannabinoids found in v**es and edibles in Ireland

The HSE has identified potentially dangerous synthetic and semi-synthetic cannabinoids in v**es, v**e liquids and edibles being sold in shops and on the illicit market.

Some products have been linked to severe intoxication, loss of consciousness, withdrawal and psychosis. Products may also be labelled as C*D or cannabis but contain much stronger and riskier substances.

👉 Do not use alone, avoid mixing with alcohol or other drugs, and if someone becomes seriously unwell call 999 or 112.
