💚 Protect Your Baby from RSV This Winter 💚
RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) is a common winter virus that can cause serious illness in young babies.
The HSE RSV Immunisation Programme for 2026/2027 is now underway, with free RSV immunisation available to eligible babies.
👶 Babies born 1 September 2026 - 28 February 2027
RSV immunisation will be offered in maternity hospitals before going home, where possible.
👶 Babies born 1 March - 31 August 2026
RSV immunisation is available through participating GP practices.
👶 Some babies who are at higher risk of serious RSV illness may also be offered immunisation through a specialist pathway.
The immunisation helps protect babies against severe RSV illness throughout the autumn and winter months.
