MEALS
We provide varied and nutritionally balanced meals, freshly prepared by our own cook each day in our Health Board approved in-house kitchen. Our menus change each week and are clearly posted for parents to review. If you have any specific requirements or special dietary requirements, please inform the Manager and we will cater for your child on an individual basis as much as possible. STAFF
All staff are fully qualified and Garda Vetted childcare professionals with a number of years experience. They are constantly upskilling and keeping informed of new and exciting activities for the young children of today. COMMUNICATION WITH PARENTS
Staff and management are available to talk to parents at any time. We operate an open door policy, therefore parents are welcome at any time of the day. Each child's routine is recorded in detail for parents in their individual daily record book. Their daily activities are recorded on our events board, outside each room. We keep parents abreast of any news/events with our quarterly newsletters; notice board at entrance; and text messaging of all parents etc. Each child is assigned a key worker who will conduct observations and record any milestones that your child may reach whilst in the centre. Observations are conducted on a tri-annual basis by each child's key worker. The advantage of observations is to ensure that the daily activities are suited to the child and are within their personal capacity. It also allows staff to monitor activities within the centre and whether or not they need to be changed, or the suitability of these activities. They are carefully laid out so that they are practical for their purpose. The set up of the rooms ensure that children have smooth movement from activity to activity yet feel secure within the room itself. PLAYGROUND
All rooms open onto a fully secured playground area which is fitted with soft play tiles, grass and tarmacadam. This allows us to conduct outside activities daily, weather permitting, of course. We have two areas, one for smaller children with small climbing frames, baby swings and a number of trikes, cars, tractors etc. Our larger area is designed for playschool and afterschool children and has a grass area for football, a larger climbing frame and larger swing set. SECURITY
We have Secure Access Systems. This means that parents and visitors to the centre have to ring the bell in order to gain access. CCTV cameras are stationed both inside and outside the premises which can give parents an extra bit of security and peace of mind. Health and Safety also plays an important part in Mountbellew Community Childcare Centre and we ensure that our Childcare Centre provides a safe environment for all children, parents and staff. Our staff receive regular training and updates on health and safety issues. We work together to ensure that all health and safety procedures and practices are adhered to at all times. PRICING
As prices vary for every child depending on their attendance, our Manager would be happy to supply you with a quote for your child's attendance. Fees are paid monthly in advance by standing order. As we are a community childcare facility parents in receipt of Social Welfare may be entitled to a reduction in childcare rates. If you would like to know more, please contact the Manager.
