A VERY SPECIAL DAY AT INFINITY FRIENDS! 🚲

Today we had the pleasure of welcoming members of Tri Athlone and Councillor Frankie Keena to the Infinity Friends Clubhouse to officially open our brand-new cycle track! πŸŽ‰

Back in February 2026, the incredible members of Tri Athlone took on an amazing 12-Hour Challenge Fundraiser in support of Infinity Friends. Their phenomenal efforts raised and donated over €10,000, allowing us to install this fantastic cycle track for our members. πŸ’›

We are also incredibly grateful to Councillor Frankie Keena, who generously donated the funding to purchase our new scooters, meaning our members have everything they need to get out on the track and enjoy it. πŸ›΄πŸš²

For us, this is so much more than a cycle track. It is another safe and welcoming space where our children and young people can have fun, be active, build confidence, learn new skills and, most importantly, enjoy being themselves alongside their friends.

Seeing our members enjoying the track makes all the work that went into making it possible completely worthwhile.

To everyone at Tri Athlone and to Frankie, thank you for believing in Infinity Friends and for investing in our children and young people. Your kindness and generosity have created something that will be enjoyed by our members for many years to come. ❀️

We were so proud to welcome you to our clubhouse today and finally show you what your incredible support has helped us create.

Thank you from all of us at Infinity Friends! πŸ₯°πŸ›΄

For the first time since Infinity Friends was founded in 2022, we have made the incredibly difficult decision to close our waiting list for the remainder of 2026.

We are currently working through an overwhelming number of membership requests for September 2026, and to ensure we can give every application the time and consideration it deserves, we have decided not to accept any further waiting list applications this year.

This isn't a milestone we ever hoped to reach.

Every child who joins our waiting list represents a family searching for friendship, understanding and a place where their child belongs. Having to pause new applications is heartbreaking, but our priority has always been to provide the very best experience for the children and families already attending Infinity Friends.

The support our club has received over the past four years has been incredible. While it is difficult to know that families are still looking for services like ours, we are so grateful for the trust you continue to place in us.

🟣 Our waiting list will reopen in January 2027.

To every family currently waiting to hear from us regarding September membership, please don't worryβ€”we are actively working through all existing applications and will be in touch as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience, your understanding, and for believing in Infinity Friends. Your support means more than you know.

World Autism Acceptance Day – April 2nd

Today is about more than awareness β€” it is about acceptance, understanding, and inclusion.

Autism is a natural variation of how people think, communicate, and experience the world. Every autistic individual is unique, with their own strengths, challenges, and ways of interacting with others.

Autism acceptance means:
β€’ Listening to autistic voices
β€’ Respecting differences
β€’ Creating inclusive environments
β€’ Supporting individuals to be themselves

At Infinity Friends CLG, we are proud to support over 100 autistic children and young people across 11 weekly club sessions in Athlone and the wider Midlands. Our goal is simple β€” to provide a safe, welcoming space where every member feels valued, included, and understood.

We also support families, recognising the importance of community, connection, and shared understanding.

Today, and every day, we encourage everyone to move beyond awareness and towards true acceptance β€” because inclusion benefits us all.

✨ Exciting News at Infinity Friends CLG! ✨

We are absolutely delighted to share that our incredible Funding Officer, Carmel, has successfully secured funding to introduce a brand new service within Infinity Friends CLG πŸ’™

Very soon, our members will have access to our very own Sensory Library πŸŽ‰

We know only too well how expensive sensory and OT equipment can be β€” and how frustrating it is to invest in something that your child may have little or no interest in. That’s why this new service is so important.

πŸ‘‰ Our Sensory Library will allow families to trial equipment for free, giving you the opportunity to see what truly works for your child before making any decisions.

This is a huge step forward in supporting our families in a practical, meaningful way β€” and we couldn’t be more excited to roll it out!

We would like to sincerely thank the National Lottery and the Department of Education and Youth for their support in making this possible. Your funding will have a real and lasting impact on the children and families in our community.

And of course, a very special thank you to Carmel for her hard work and dedication in bringing this to life πŸ‘

More details coming soon… watch this space!
