👻🔢 Hands-on Maths in Junior Infants! 🎃🐻

Lots of busy hands and mathematical thinking in our classroom today! The children loved moving between our maths stations, exploring early numeracy skills through play. 🧮✨

🔢 Subitising – Recognising small quantities at a glance without having to count each item individually.

👻 Count and Stack Ghosts – Practising counting, number recognition and one-to-one correspondence as we counted and stacked our spooky ghosts!

🐻 Sorting and Classifying – Using our colourful counting bears to sort and group objects by colour, size and type, while developing our mathematical language and reasoning skills.

These playful, hands-on activities help build number sense, problem-solving skills, independence and confidence in maths.

💛 Learning through play is learning at its best!
